Really good list. One thing I'd add is that for some people it's probably worth exploring passkeys for services that have them enabled, which are (1) getting easier and easier to use and (2) way more secure.

Card draining is when criminals remove gift cards from a store to record the card numbers and PINs or replace them with a new barcode. They then repair the packaging and put the cards back. When a customer loads money onto a tampered card, criminals can access the funds online. (Published April)

it should also be illegal to make digital robots who pretend to be real people why do we get chat "messages" in storefronts from "James" saying "Hello! How can I help you today?" or blog posts "written" by "people" with "human" pfps? why do we have robots *designed to impersonate us* everywhere?

it's kinda sad that digital work is so hidden like there's no messy study room or bookshelves full of works you've read or letters from people and gizmos and widgets you've built or stacks of drawings and diagrams it's all just, hidden in folders, already lost in space, and eventually lost to time
