ANNOUNCING A MAJOR NEW @empirepoduk.bsky.social SERIES: IRELAND & EMPIRE Episode One- COLONISING IRELAND: Henry VIII, Elizabeth I & The Tudor Conquest of Ireland With me and @willdalrymple.bsky.social and special guest Prof Jane Ohlmeyer. Out now.

Not much to do in the Irish countryside so I've been getting into making my own cocktails this past month The three I think you must try are * Last Word * Army and Navy * Brooklyn I tried a lot of last word riffs (shout out to the division bell) but the original reigns supreme.

woke up today and my legit first thought was Rage against the machine's sleep now in the fire but lyrics changed to A streetcar named desire

can everyone designing OSR games just agree on a standard length of rope please? 😅

Despite this one not particularly engrossing me and taking me a long time to finish, the Phillip Marlowe series is a must read, yall. Look you probably don't need my ignorant butt to tell you these books are classics but like I promise you these books are better than anything on TV right now.

I've released the Outdoor Survival Scaffolder - a tool that automatically generates lairs, monsters and treasure based off the terrain of the classic OD&D wilderness map! It's still WIP, but has been an enormous undertaking so far - I hope it's of use! chaoclypse.itch.io/outdoor-surv...

I'm piling sandbags on the hill of "Sushi is a perfectly fine breakfast food." Tamago is the intuitive choice of course. But fish is great too. Like crushing an onigiri with a cup of coffee is a great way to start the day.

Is the last word the best cocktail?

CITIZEN SLEEPER 2 is💫OUT NOW!💫 Get a ship, find a crew, and take on contracts while you navigate across the Starward Belt, in this Dice Driven RPG. “The perfect sequel, offering complexity, consequence, and quiet optimism in a world of strife.” - PCGamesN links below 👇

Any experienced Mausritter GMs out there have a curated list of good adventures? I'm disappointed in the average adventures out there on itch for MR and could really gain from someone's experience -- Second mouse gets the cheese and all that.

Just when I was feeling good about living in Ireland and the universe gotta tell me about my local cave fungus zombie spiders. phys.org/news/2025-01...

I'm coming around to rating the Brooklyn cocktail just a better Manhattan cocktail all around. I think this will take a lot of research to be conclusive, though. Yeah. A lot of research.

I'm a massive Golden Girls fan, so I can think of no better leadership for my Adeptus Sororitas. I've been working through this concept for YEARS and I'm excited to finally have it accomplished. Shout out to @bssterrain for the amazing head sculpts. #warhammercommunity #warhammer40k #goldengirls

Watching The Apartment (1960) and I'm finding it hard to enjoy the humour through the thick haze of the mid century management science maxing capitalist dystopia.

The biggest professional group of actuaries in the UK just published that our past models of climate risk underestimate the figures and now effectively saying society is doomed in about 50 years. www.theguardian.com/environment/...

Turns out I've been accidentally running the 2021 playtest rules for AW burned over rather than the 2024s!

Mouse Archer on a Barn Owl ❄️

My Mausritter hexmap attempts have been rough. I tried to do multiple hexflowers and it was awful and disjointed and messy. I changed tack and thought I'd make a map with mighty empires tiles and that result felt too virgin for customising with mousey landmarks. But don't dismay. I have an idea.

caves of qud is a good game, because sometimes you will talk to a big worm and get a quest to go sit on a bench and think about horses

New Arden Vul location just dropped. For real though super cool were still finding stuff in one of the oldest cities ever. I wish I could go see Luxor. Thebes and its history is phenomenal. Especially the inscriptions about the Sea Peoples at the mortuary temple to Ramses III

Idk. On one hand this is based for clarification. But you gotta love that the atomic measurements for magic spells fastidiously follows an arbitrary system hinging of the size of a king's foot.
