Thank you for citing my post. Oakes Ames is one of my favorite botanists, and his wife Blanche Ames is one of my favorite botanical illustrators. They were definitely a team and Oakes gave Blanche full credit for her contribution.

I was fortunate to be interviewed by the Terre Haute Tribune Star (Terre Haute, IN) and the article was published about 11 days ago (2/7). The writer, Mark Bennett, gave a nice overview of Amalia Kussner's life and details of my research. Thanks Mark!

phihpod AK Fact of the Day: Amalia Kussner wrote an article about the Czar and Czarina of Russia, published in 1906

As an author, it's a fun day when you learn about the 1st local bookstore that has officially ordered you book. Found this out yesterday - that the Amalia Kussner biography is on order at the Brookline Booksmith (Brookline, MA). A great community focused store & I am thrilled to be an author there.
