1825 is in the very strange position of being the best 18XX for newbies and, at the same time, incredibly hard to play well. It's an amazing game, though, one of the best ever made.

Last year, I played 100 games of #Innovation with a friend. Not only did we finish exactly with 50 victories each, the moment we did, we set up a new match again. This is the truly gaming at its best.

I'm increasingly worried about the preservation of board games. Unlike video games, which have active groups cataloguing, archiving and digitizing games, there's nothing on the analog side. Worse of all, there's no awareness on the issue.
