Today’s school visit in Iowa was so incredible! The kids were very creative and engaged, I got to play gym class, I found out I’m on next year’s Iowa state list, AND a generous community member donated money to buy a book for all 320 kids at the school!

Oh, how I loved this book by @barbaradee.bsky.social. Freya is extraordinary - I love that she’s unapologetically loud, asks questions, and owns her actions and mistakes. A great story that demonstrates how change can happen - and how to make your voice heard in ways that make a difference.

I spent the weekend deep in @tameeksb.bsky.social’s gripping story. This book is so good - after the US military invasion of Panama in 1989, Danilo is desperately trying to hold himself and his family together while dealing with PTSD and his pro-baseball dreams. I highly recommend this pre-order!

This book by @annbraden.bsky.social is so powerful. Amazing survival and outdoor aspect, and I LOVED the nurturing and supportive mother-daughter bond. Addy is such a relatable, likeable character who is forced to deal with SO much - but handles it with patience, calm, and grit. Highly recommend!!
