I am pleased to announce that Whitman-Walker has returned a trans care resource, now under “primary care.” I am told the decision was to update today and that it is a case of bad timing, but also confirmed the reason why it was removed was fear of the Trump admin. Still. I am very happy it’s back.

I will post only once more about this tonight. Whitman-Walker is how I am Erin. I hold this name because of the resources they provided the trans community. I hope what I have written tonight gives them pause, and all orgs who would do this. Because the wave has hit home and I can’t stand quiet.

AP could have been cowardly and rolled over for Trump. “We had to comply or we’d lose [funding/access/privileges]” like so many orgs are doing. It would have been easy for them to say “gulf of America” But it never stops there. They got the memo. Good job AP.

“We had to erase trans people or we couldn’t get our federal funding” Fuck the federal funding. You fight, you sue, you do not become complicit in our mass erasure. We are all in this together, and we all go down together. I will not allow us to be jettisoned or erased.
