Before I'd earned much of a pension, I had to leave my first career due to disability. Good thing there's a great safety net for disabled Americans. no, wait... At least my 503c savings are ok...no? Well, we value research and health so much that my quality of life should improve. Right?

Onomatopoeia irl: When my youngest was a toddler and we taught him to blow on his hot food, he started asking each time if he needed to "fiff" on his food. It caught on. Now I just took a piece of pizza out of the microwave and said, "it's hot, you should probably fiff on it." #parenting #words

Kindly recommend #books that meet these criteria: *features a #neurodivergent or #ChronicallyIll character *is written by a neurodivergent or chronically ill author *is more or less lighthearted genre fiction (eg cozies or romcoms, not Weighty Important Tomes) #BookSky #authors #disability

Today is Autism Acceptance Day. No, not "awareness." Acceptance. Understanding #neurodiversity means accepting the variety of ways people's brains orient to the world and process information. Accepting that the minority has as much validity as the majority. #ActuallyAutistic #Autism

The biggest divide is not between “right” and “left." It’s between democracy and oligarchy. The billionaires who control our economy and democracy seek to divide us. They want us to turn on each other so we don't look up and see that they have all the wealth and power.
