My AI Ethics students run a probing exercise on gen AI to test their guardrails and biases. One group found that asking the same question in different languages results in different answers. "How was the universe created?" in English or French give BBT, but in Arabic gives a religious perspective.

I actually want to push back on this. I think the amount and kind of systemic or institutional power that can be derived from social media depends very much on the intersection of the offline and online networks of a given user and the ways that intersection is continuous with offline intersections.
