OK - can I just say - thank you to @kitdewaal.bsky.social for so diligently sharing information about prizes and other opportunities for writers, esp older writers, writers who are carers, writers who've had few breaks - and for being an all around fabulous example? Follow her!

Just met with a former client (a large and - though this shouldn't need saying - reputable international aid organisation) and over the weekend they lost 30M or 20 % of their budget, with instant repercussions for the most vulnerable people on earth, and despite this they are resolute and cheerful.

Saw @theyearsplay.bsky.social last night. Every aspect flawless, impeccable timing and balance of heartbreak and wit. Seeing five brilliant women collaborate so seamlessly is still a revelation. More like this....
