I'll do a proper bio later. In the interim, prepare for science, ska, queerness, auspol, netrunner and karate bugmen. (they/them)

Empathy and a sense of justice are features, not bugs. They make us stronger!

The song will smash. They can pick it up, pick it up, pick it up with only one drop.

Be careful with words that sound like ones you know, but in a different language. Often their meanings can shift!
An easy example in the opposite direction is latte. In english it's coffee but in Italian it's milk!

What I’ve come back to repeatedly is that Tom Scott is absolutely correct, here.
Many of us feel a desire to rescue the Community by rescuing the Platform.
I’ve done Rescue The Platform. Over and over.
The upsides are few and tiny, the downsides massive and egregious.

If they cook professionally, they'll probably appreciate whatever you cook. Go for something simple and reliable.

I really like this idea of deliberately incorrect niche gifts. Bonus points if they're very plausibly deniable.
Matcha powder comes to mind for this. It's labelled tea. Most tea fans will know what it is. But unless you're a matcha (or desert) person, it's not really tea, you know?

#Germany is a parody of Germany, part 5
This is a ‘Green’ politician. Germany’s foreign minister , granddaughter of a literal Nazi, openly justifying the Israeli bombing of schools in Gaza.
Not good, in my humble opinion

While Maggie isn't in the city, she does chat about how the kids there need these sorts of spaces too.

We're only just left "climate change isn't real." It's been bleedingly obvious that global warming is caused by humans for the past 2 decades. Probably the last half century
So the chart measures what nonsense anti-climate-action folk are up to. Locally, "climate change is real" happened late 2019

Bluesky works really differently than most of the ways people have been trained to use social media, and I encourage folks to take a deep breath, explore a bit, find some feeds that have content you like, and have conversations! If you meet people that way, you'll get a lot more real connection!

I wonder if the issue is with new user onboarding? I was following accounts using starter packs before I added my bio.
Hopefully the influx settles and the real accounts become identifiable.

Science is defiantly anti-fascist because science works best when the diversity, inclusion, and equity of those who practice it are expanded. Until women became biologists, we didn’t see that “the egg fertilizes the sperm” is a more accurate descriptor than “the sperm fertilizes the egg.”

Unsure if I'd go that far. Albo did send warm congratulations to the president elect.
