Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska is proof that an album recorded on a $50 cassette recorder can change music history. Here are 5 things you probably didn’t know about this stark masterpiece: zurl.co/Ee86R

Where were you on Friday night February 22, 1985? I may have been watching this! Anybody wanna go back?

Probably an unpopular opinion, but I’d love to hear others thoughts. I am not a fan of the song “Springsteen” by Eric Church. I don’t see the song as being *about* Bruce at all. It just lists some of his songs and then he sings “Springsteen.” Ok. I tried to like it, but it does nothing for me.

This article is all over the place in terms of what it’s supposed to be (Bruce’s best? Most popular? Greatest hits? All different things!). Still, this is always a fun exercise. I would replace Dancing, Glory Days and I’m on Fire with Backstreets, Darkness and Racing in the Street. Any others?

Always loved this song by the underrated CCR.

Probably my second favorite song from this album and one of his best videos.

Great thread on the fantastic unreleased Springsteen song “Protection.” Hopefully we will see it on Tracks 2!

On this date: Listen to a great Springsteen concert recording from 1974, watch Bruce’s first press conference in 20 years Rock The World Bruce #BruceSpringsteen estreetshuffle.com/index.php/20...

Bruce greets a stuffed panda wearing a “I Heard Bruce Might Show Up” t-shirt. I have seen many items with this phrase at various Asbury Park shops. Fun to see Bruce acknowledging it!

Some great photos of Bruce with Brian Fallon of Gaslight Anthem at Sea Hear Now in Asbury Park.

This day in #Springsteen history, Bruce wins the “Best Single” award at the 1985 American Music Awards for Dancing in the Dark. He then heads over to A&M Studios in Hollywood where he recorded his powerful vocals for “We are the World.” If you haven’t seen the great Netflix documentary, please do.

Getting more and more excited about this movie.

[January 26th, 1985] Bruce Springsteen performed at Syracuse University's Carrier Dome, to a sold-out crowd of over 80,000, marking the finale of his nationwide tour. #history #OTD #1980s

Interesting article in the Asbury Park Press about the filming of Deliver Me From Nowhere in Bruce’s hometown of Freehold, NJ. #springsteen

Five Fantastic Springsteen Songs About Lost Love I don’t always love these kinds of lists, but these are excellent choices. I can’t disagree with any of them. What are some other songs that perhaps should have made the list though? Stolen Car comes to mind for me. #springsteen

I’m still mourning the Southside Johnny news and thinking of this trio - Springsteen, Southside and Little Steven - singing about the time when they were borderline homeless kids. “We had one coat between us and we never felt cold.” The world is better because those kids found each other.

On this day in 1985, Bruce Springsteen’s Born in the USA passes Michael Jackson’s Thriller for the longest lasting album on the Billboard Top Ten chart when it reaches its 79th week. Only the Sound of Music lasted longer. Which of these three had the biggest impact on our culture? #springsteen

Southside Johnny is retiring from touring. This is a sad reminder that the eventually time comes for us all. The Jukes, especially all those Steve Van Zandt produced albums, were always a delight. đź’”
