One of the most striking details from the Housing Production Plan draft that the Admin is submitting for review tomorrow (this is not the final plan-- just a draft) is that Worcester will need to produce 12,304 housing units TOTAL in 8 years, or 2033!

I appreciate getting to meet with our new DPW Commissioner and his staff to learn about a new technique that will be used to extend and preserve the life and quality of 2 miles of residential roads for District 5. Some of these roads have been in terrible condition and needed attention.

A quick update on the Fire Sprinkler statute that I asked the City to adopt.The item was held by Councilor Mero-Carlson this past Tues. Instead of referring to the Public Safety committee, the Council opted to hold, until a report on costs is submitted.

Reminder this neighborhood meeting is this Wed, March 5th, 6pm at the West Tatnuck Elementary School. MassDOT project leaders will have a presentation to discuss the project, the safety changes, and hear your feedback, questions, concerns and feedback.
