The EU welcomes the announcement of a temporary ceasefire by the Myanmar military and other panties to the conflict.

Today, an EU Humanitarian Air Bridge flight is transporting 80 tonnes of EU-owned supplies to support those affected by the Myanmar earthquake. Items such as tents, health and hygiene kits will be distributed by our partners. More: europa.eu/!GyTnfG

The EU provides € 2.5 million in initial emergency assistance for people affected by the earthquake in Myanmar.
