In my opinion, here's what we should do if Nwaneri is the superstar we think he is, but we also have Saka/Ødegaard healthy and firing: celebrate

@billycarpy.bsky.social was thinking yesterday that your piece comparing Arsenal to Liverpool is one of the most insightful things I've read this season... (I was skeptical at first, I admit, was thinking there was little value in comparing, but that was naive of me)

Always with the team ❤️

Arsenal have allowed 4.09 xG since the international break Tottenham allowed 5.63 xG on Sunday

Looking back at it, maybe we should have let him score a hat trick earlier.

Jesus has 5 goals in the last 51 minutes.

@billycarpy.bsky.social Timber just did what you suggested faking the widely telegraphed at this point wide pass to Saka. Ended up just passing it backwards, but it's a start.

Visualising the strength of the Premier League "Big Six" with a long-term moving average of their xG dominance: a (logged) ratio of their xG relative to their xGA. For the first time in the last 6 years Man City are not 1st by this measure, but in fact 3rd behind Arsenal (1st) & Liverpool (2nd).

Saka should still take 'em, but for whatever it's worth, Ødegaard has never missed a pro pen (now 8/8). Really deep squad for that now.

PL goals from set pieces (not penalties) since start of 2020-21 season: 17 - Gabriel 16 - 15 - 14 - James Ward-Prowse 13 - 12 - Mohamed Salah, Tomas Soucek, Ivan Toney 11 - Harry Kane, Kurt Zouma, Dominic Calvert-Lewin 10 - John Stones, Lewis Dunk, Virgil van Dijk
