I've built an integration that can auto-import all my Oura ring health data into @notion.com each day, so I can aggregate and visualize my data there. I also used OpenAI deep research to build a nutrition matrix with my supplement data, so I can now validate against RDA and UL.

I’ve been refining my daily routine system in Notion lately. It’s really helped me stay more consistent, and along the way, I’ve learned a lot about Notion and how it's automations work. I think it’s nearly perfect for my needs now.

Just gave OpenAI’s new deep research functionality in ChatGPT a trial run — legitimately mind blowing

I'll be joining @carlastabile.tech tomorrow to chat about OpenFGA, the principles of building good SDKs, and the importance of open source and building in public. Join us! www.linkedin.com/events/coffe...

You know, I'm something of a bio-hacker myself. 👨‍🔬 I’ve spent years refining a science-backed supplement routine that actually makes a world of difference for my energy, focus, and longevity. Here’s a look at what I take, and why.

I've been toying with the idea of working on an open-source game settings optimizer for Windows. My goal would be for it to analyze your complete PC build (rather than just considering your GPU like other tools) and offer a one-click optimization of games based on community-contributed data.

@tsamoudakis.com Thanks a lot for creating @thefinebits.com, it’s excellent and exactly what I was looking for. I’m using it over on evansims.com now.

Avowed has no business being as gorgeous as it is sometimes.

We spend years solving problems—but are they the right ones? The biggest challenge isn’t problem-solving; it’s problem-finding. Most meaningful problems stay hidden in plain sight. Here’s how to spot them and focus on what truly matters. evansims.com/finding-the-...

I wish @ghost.org allowed longer alt text for rich media. While 125 characters was once best practice, modern accessibility tools can handle more these days. Limiting length unnecessarily reduces accessibility and prevents a richer experience for readers.

The work is mysterious and important.

your outie uses git checkout -b rather than git switch -c

The Gorge was quite a delightful surprise — the teasers really only give you the vaguest of ideas what the film is about, although to be fair, it’d be hard to say much without ruining it all. I’m glad I gave it a chance, and definitely recommend!

Three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth. — Buddha

What if meaninglessness isn’t something to fear—but the key to real freedom? Camus argued that once we stop searching for grand cosmic purpose, we can truly start living. Embrace the absurd, push your own rock, and find your own joy in a world that refuses to make sense. evansims.com/relax-nothin...

I can confidently say that Longlegs was one of the most disturbing movies I’ve watched in quite some time.

I’m very impressed with Particle so far. It’s the closest thing to Artifact I’ve found in terms of algorithmic news delivery, and far exceeds it in several ways. apps.apple.com/us/app/parti...

Lasting change is not about proclaiming a “new you” — it's about establishing small, consistent actions that reshape you over time. In my latest blog post, I examine how building lasting habits and shifting your mindset transform your life, one tiny step at a time. evansims.com/identity-fol...

Productivity tools really need to stop fixating on creating Notion clones. Yes, Notion is great. But you’re not going to out-Notion Notion by just recreating it. Do something unique. If I’m out there looking for other tools, it isn’t because I want more of exactly what I already have.

i'm tired of being told to stop doomscrolling. i'm just scrolling, it's not my fault there's doom on there

I wish TestFlight had waiting lists you could opt into for betas that are currently full.

Propranolol'd: when you forgot you took your Adderall this morning and sprang for a third cup of coffee at lunch.

Roblox has the most outrageously inhumane verification captcha I have ever endured. This should be considered a war crime.

Billie is really into watching this Japanese cat vlog on YouTube — too cute 😆
