Hey people of #dnd #dungeonsanddragons I was wondering: How do you encourage RP at your tables? I'm currently Dming for a group of players that love playing the game and going on adventures but rarely want to ask each other about their characters and what makes them tick or story relevant facts.

Picking up Mass Effect for the first time this weekend. Need some #scifi fun as a break from all my fantastical fare.

Introduce yourself with your worst feedback from school: I'm EverRabbit! I'm a pragmatic minimalist which means that I will only ever do the bare minimum required

Quick #dnd share for the day: NPC I'm developing for my current campaign. Ozlo the Tortle Potion Shop Owner. Ozlo likes to test his brews before selling so depending on the day he could be under the influence of who knows what potion! I'm thinking haste for a first meeting #dungeonsanddragons

Terry Pratchett's witches are just... The best.

Fellow #dungeonmasters and #gamemasters and anyone else who wants to weigh in I have a question: How do you handle groups who play information about their characters close to the chest especially when their backstories are important to the overall plot? When planning sessions I typically just 1/?

Everyone should watch Interior Chinatown. My God it's such a good show. 10/10 no notes. Everyone is killing it

I,for one, do love a villain who is villainous. No redemption necessary. Make them capable and unrepentant.

RPG tip from the archive: Check youtube to practice interesting accents for NPCs in your game. #dnd #ttrpg

My #dnd share for the day: The "ITS TOO LATE TO RUN" tavern. This tavern was once a great pirate ship now beached just outside a small coastal city. The tavern is run by a once famous pirate who gave it up when his kids were born and most of the crew now works there as well paid staff 1/?

Paladin for many of the same reasons but also for JUSTICE (and hey smiting is pretty cool ngl)

#WriterWednesday library-love moment.

The realest mood for anyone trying to write anything ever for all time

"Consistency without that much fucking effort is the key" - Sean "Day9" Plott casually summarizing several books I've read recently on ADHD strategies

The problem with running a D&D campaign for a group of friends that are close is that they immediately spot what media I'm ripping off 😭
