Human and Divine Love In the Middle Ages with Prof. Clia Goodwin. I still remember after all these years.

I am in downtown Los Angeles right now and it is completely surreal to hear that Trump is sending Marines here. We are listening to mariachi music. People have dogs. There are teenagers here. It is utterly and completely peaceful. Please tell your friends.

@goingmedieval.bsky.social I was just thinking about the history of the current British monarchy, starting with Liz II's dad, through current day. The cast and plot points could easily be dropped into a medieval setting or Shakespearean drama & most wouldn't clock it. Thoughts?

Watching Jesus Christ Superstar. Thinking, man, Judas really got shafted. Everything was predetermined. God chose him for that role. He never had free will. He felt remorse and he's damned for all time and seen as the ultimate asshole for most of recorded history. Not cool.

My sister doesn't get it. She asked me why I'd be afraid to put up a Pride flag. This town is largely MAGA. I am a disabled, non-binary, lesbian, 60 years old, not the type who can pass. The fact that the town clerk is queer does not negate how vulnerable I feel. Str8 people don't get the same news.
