Two cats didn't feel like enough cat to fill the house. So I'd like to introduce our newest feline, Flynn.

Some heartbreaking news. Received a phone call from a vet that no-one wants. My beautiful, funny, silly, and feisty cat Tilly had been brought in after being attacked by a dog. Efforts to save her were unsuccessful. Hug your pets folks.

The downside of evicting a mouse from your room, after you've shut the cat out to deal with the mouse, is that the cat then spends the next hour scouring your room for a nonexistent mouse. Don't you Tilly?

Six month vet checkup for Tilly and Honey. The verdict: Tilly is a perfect angel. Honey is also a very sweet cat, but is turning into a bit of a Heckin' Chonker.

Attention everyone. Throwback to 2022. Baby Honey and Tilly.

New storage has the Tilly seal of approval.

Doors!

All finished for tonight. Doors will have to wait for tomorrow.

Inspector of works.

Only shelves and doors left to go. Time for a cider!

It's a bank holiday weekend, so obviously I am building flat-pack wardrobes. Mrs okapi for scale.

It's taken 28 years, but I've paid off my student loans. Woo!

Seriously. 5 minutes...* *They're USB-C on the other end, but it wasn't such a good photo.

Can never find USB-C cables in this house. Went into teenage daughter's room for literally 5 minutes, and came out with 17 of the bloody things. Seventeen!

How small is ultra-small, you ask. This whole scan covers 1 milliradian, or 0.0573 degrees, which is about the same as 2-3 steps of a reasonable powder x-ray diffraction scan. This scan contains 10000 data points...

In case you were wondering what ultra-small angle X-ray scattering from a butterfly wing looks like. The central peak is the unscattered beam. Satellite peaks are Bragg-like diffraction from the wing structure, giving rise to its green colour.
