Mcdonald's Changeables wasn't the only original Mcdonald's happy meal, original transforming toys, in 1992 they also released Food Fundamentals and were "replicas" of foods that had faces on them and could "transform" (arms and legs flipped out), they weren't very good.

The Mcdonald's Changeables toyline consists of two distinct types of figures, ones that turn into vaguely robot shaped and others that turn into animals. Personally, I prefer the animal ones, which were the ones released later in the line.

Mcdonald's Changeables was a line of Happy Meal toys starting in 1987, which were transforming robots of McDonald's meals that transformed. This was done to cash in on the 80s, transforming robots craze, and was so successful that there were multiple series of toys over 4 years.
