EXCLUSIVE REPORT: I spent over a week digging up EV sales across 58 markets and ended up mapping 99.7% of all EV sales that took place in 2024. The EV adoption is much further along than most of us are aware. My full report (free): evuniverse.io/p/evsales2024

@evuniverse.bsky.social: "Every 7th (well really every 6.89th) vehicle sold in the world is now fully electric." 🚨🚨🚨 #alwaysbecharging from: www.evuniverse.io/p/evsales2024

If you find someone still saying that "EVs don't work in the cold", just send them this:

Here's the best view to show how far we ACTUALLY are in EV adoption. Somehow you don't find this in news... 16 markets have now reached over 20% in EV market share! Take Denmark's EV market share for example: 20% (2022) → 36.3% (2023) → 51.5% (2024) 🤯 My full report: evuniverse.io/p/evsales2024

The EV future is here. It's just unevenly distributed. 37 markets saw EV sales grow compared to 2023, yet 21 markets saw a decline in EV sales instead.

8 countries more than doubled their EV sales in 2024. As we expected, it's the 'Rest of the World' countries that are outpacing everyone else this year. Here's my full 2024 EV sales report: evuniverse.io/p/evsales2024

Germany is losing its relevance in the new EV world. EV sales in Europe decreased by 1.3% in 2024, but Europe excluding Germany actually grew +7.85%! So now, for the first time, another country took over as 1st in EV sales in Europe: The UK saw 381,970 EV sales (vs Germany's 380k)!

There were 12 regions (10 countries) that achieved more than 100,000 EV sales in 2024. And 8 of them grew compared to 2023. 58.6% of all EVs were sold in China, where every 4th car sold was an EV. My full 2024 EV sales report: evuniverse.io/p/evsales2024

Tesla took two best-selling EV spots again in 2024. How long have the competition been coming for by now? Model Y even kept its #1 spot across all fuel types. Model 3 again took the #2 in world, Europe and US. BYD kept #2, #3 in China. My full 2024 report: evuniverse.io/p/evsales2024

14.5% is the market share these 10,826,929 EVs took in total light-duty vehicles sold in the world. In other words, every 7th (6.89th) vehicle sold in the world is now fully electric. As we expected, the 'Rest of the World' was growing fastest. My full report: evuniverse.io/p/evsales2024

10,826,929 battery-electric vehicles were sold in the world in 2024. That's 5% more than in 2023. Just 14 years ago, there were 7,200 EVs sold globally for the whole year. Now the same amount of EVs are sold every six hours! My full 2024 report: evuniverse.io/p/evsales2024

So what are y'all thoughts on #Tesla on this platform?

LOVE seeing this ramp up: Amazon just announced its largest electric truck order to date: 200 Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 trucks. It also confirms it now has "more than 600" Rivian vans in its fleet in Germany. Just recently, Amazon said they've reached 20,000 Rivian vans in its US delivery fleet.

VW Group's EV deliveries per region in 2024: -5.2% in Europe -30.5% in US +8.1% in China +12.0% in RoW Total -3.4% from 2023 #electricvehicles

VW Group brand EV sales globally: Only SEAT/CUPRA was growing! VW passenger cars -2.7% from 2023; Škoda -2.6% Seat/Cupra +6% VW Commercial -1.6% Audi -7.8% Porsche -3.7% (total VW Group EV sales -3.4% globally) #electricvehicles

I'm pretty sure Frank already does have that, thanks though spellcheck
