Trying to listen to a random charity shop find compilation LP.. And... and yes, bring on the hate, I don't care.. I'm sorry, but cassettes on a decent deck are superior to LPs on a reasonable turntable. At least, if we're talking 40 year old media that's not been lovingly cossetted its entire life.

ASMR is like being butt dialled by an asthmatic serial killer.

Code is not as, never mind more, important than humans.

So again things I wanted but had left by my door for a day or two have disappeared. I suspect it was the contract cleaners again. I wonder if they'll be so ready to take stuff I'm trying to get rid of. Bet instead of a noteless vanishings there'll be threats of fines if I leave some bin bags out.

At first I thought I'd somehow forgotten a night of nail dragging passion that's more than left its mark. Then I realised I'd gone to bed wearing my watch.

Note to self: However much fun it is to toy with accidentally offensive drunk people, at some point I have to get some sleep. But fuck me was it fun. Too much fun.

Did covid do a number on society, or am I just increasingly aware of people being generally fucking self centred and oblivious to others?

Hi, I'm interested in the car bits you've got for sale. Not sure when I can collect. "We need them gone asap, as we're going to have to store them outside and that'll ruin them" Ah, they'll be off one of those indoor use only cars then.

The latest bulk buy of random cassettes has scored me a copy of Heart, several inexplicably collectible hammond organ tapes, and two D60s of a guy who sounds kinda like a real life John Shuttleworth.

Have A Nice Day was the last really decent Bon Jovi album. And somehow some of the best songs were only "bonus" tracks on the CD.

Just listened to "The Police Greatest Hits" I clearly have a different definition of the word great.

I got all excited to have my JVC vcd player working. Even more excited when I found the Star Wars original trilogy came out on vcd way back.. ..Dammit, it's the "special edition" CGI crapped up ones.

Either this isn't actually the right laser for this CD player, or the ones on Aliexpress are all faulty. It's 50/50 which is true right now.

"We're expecting it" Me too, delivery company, me too.

For me, a life in tech is a bit like a childhood in religion. The more of it I experience, the less of it I want infiltrating every damned part of existence.

And now I want a cartoon called "Firecats", where a heroic bipedal feline takes on the dastardly Filtra while trying to carve out an existence on a far away planet. Fire, Fire, Firecats, Hooooo!

That feeling when you're not sure if the thing you bought was broken before or after you fucked up fitting it, but either way you've now got to order one and the video's not getting done for at least a week.

Got to be honest, looking through the recent "Gingo" advent Youtube stats is beyond fucking depressing. 3 views, 7 views, wow, that was a good day, all of 20 views. And yeah, it's not high end quality stuff, but when you see things no better, and maybe far worse, hitting 4 digit viewcounts...

If there's anything the last hour or two has taught me, it's... Yep, I should've just bought carpet tiles.

"What happens when this uninsured vehicle hits a child?!?!!" I'm going to go against popular opinion on this, and suggest, at least from the child's perspective, pretty much the same as when an insured one does.

Attracting the ire of the more fanatical Actual Lees online often gets me thinking "Is it me, or is it social media?" But me is on social media, so really I'm part of my problem.

I'm sorry, but I don't think "I'm too famous to have to use the block button, or deal with strangers disagreeing with me, the way the little people do", should really be how social media works.
