We're doing a charity livestream event on June 28th During the stream, we are hoping to have special guests (tba) and we will have milestone giveaways, thanks to our partners. If you would like to participate as a guest, or support our goals with milestone giveaways, msg us 🙃

Happy Pride Month! Just a reminder that if you support dangerous censorship bills like the Kids Online Safety Act (KOSA), you are actively helping harm and silence LGBTQ people and you can miss us with your performative "love is love" and "we all belong" posts www.them.us/story/kids-o...

I have a huge request for my readers: Trump's tax and spending bill will be moving through the Senate. Senators can invoke the Byrd Rule to try to remove the anti-trans Medicaid ban and EHB changes. You can find and call your senator here and ask them to do that. Please share as well.

#Adulting … PNW style. I hear there's a video game for this experience, but some times you have to venture out into the real world.

Feature request for @support.bsky.team: let me mute posts based on message length (separate length settings for post and alt text length). My feeds would be so much cleaner if I could hide every "just an image, with no alt text" post.

Does anyone actually know what the tariff rate is buying something from the EU? If they really are going to jump to >=50% soon, I'd like to know what it would cost me *now* if I order something from @prusa3d.com. I know the base rate is 10% but I've lost track of what stacks on what.

Hey folks, I have a HUGE request from the Trevor Project and would appreciate help getting the word out. Trevor is now recruiting for it's 2025 National Youth Survey. They need people 13-24, LGBTQ+, in the United States to take it. This research is critical to LGBTQ+ rights. Take it here:

Huge #LongCOVID #MECFS update from @thephysicsgirl.bsky.social. I know how much it costs her to spread awareness like this but it's so important for the countless people who can't even do that much.

This is absolutely terrible news. With the shifting regulatory climate (i.e., antivax ratfuckery), Moderna has withdrawn their application for their eagerly anticipated COVID-flu combo vaccine. This vaccine offered better protection than getting each shot separately. h/t @merz.bsky.social

UPDATE: This amendment has PASSED! The full bill heads to the house floor for a vote in the next few hours!! Blow up their phone lines! Source: www.reuters.com/world/us/us-...

You shouldn't allow your cats outdoors, anyway … but if you don't care about local wildlife and extending your cat's life by a few years, then do it to save your cat's life _now_. This is also a good reminder to take your shoes off before coming indoors so you don't infect your indoor pets, either.

It was illegal for trans women to wear dresses in the US for most of the 1900s. Instead, many participated in house parties in which they could discuss gender in private. This is a photo I colorized from a police raid on one of these parties on Nov 15th, 1927 in LA (courtesy of the Bancroft Library)

Just a reminder for anyone celebrating the current administration's push against "Big Pharma" … the wellness industry backing people like RFK Jr and our likely new Surgeon General is FOUR TIMES BIGGER (and far, far more corrupt).

Today's #3dPrinting experiment: make gold/brass colored drawer pulls. The bronze @printedsolid.bsky.social Elixir is a bit dark/greenish for my walnut drawer faces and the gold is … orange. But it's translucent so develops a nice brass look if you print it about 0.5mm thick over black. PrusaXL FTW.
