"We [the Executive Branch] *are* the federal law" is a dark horse candidate for most Hitlerian Trump quote from 2025. Surprised this did not get even more media coverage and provoke even more outrage. The literal, actual truth, of course, is that the federal government has three co-equal branches.

Excellent idea! I'll do the same - @marcelias.bsky.social

Usually, it's fine to skip the House budget resolution. But not this year. Here's a guide to the budget that kicks off the Republicans' one-big-bill strategy: www.nytimes.com/interactive/... @aliciaparlap.bsky.social

🚨NEW: Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is planning to fire Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff C.Q. Brown, a 4-Star General and 41-year veteran of the Air Force who flew over 130 hours in combat as a fighter pilot. REPOST if you stand with General C.Q. Brown against Hegseth!

I think there’s this tendency to assume Musk enters each agency with some kind of plan. But his office is 30 people, largely children, and the federal government employs millions. He spends half his time on drugs, tweeting, doing interviews. It’s all random noise www.rollingstone.com/politics/pol...

I’m telling you @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social, please watch this. This is the energy. Not egg prices and book tours and strongly worded letters. It’s time to take the gloves off.

Mitch McConnell passes the baton to the next generation of Republican leadership in the Senate as Jim Justice rolls on by.

Finnish MEP Mika Aaltola reports that the Trump led US has given Europe three weeks to agree on terms for Ukraine’s surrender to Russia. "Trump prioritizes Russia’s security concerns now and in the future. Let them own their mess. We have three weeks to grow up." www.kyivpost.com/post/47574

In a new message to FBI staff, Kash Patel said he will "always have your backs." But Patel's first moments sent the opposite message: All support personnel who worked in the FBI director's office were told to pack their desks and leave before Patel arrived. www.nbcnews.com/politics/don...

Enrique Tarrio and the Proud Boys, Stewart Rhodes and Ivan Raiklin (the self proclaimed “Secretary of Retribution”) have announced they’ll be holding a press conference at the US Capitol today… Nothing to see here. Just far-right extremist groups feeling legitimized & emboldened.

FAFO...or womp womp

NEW ANALYSIS: Politicization of the U.S. Marshals Service poses a real threat to our democracy by undermining the independence of government officials and signaling an endorsement of violence, as long as it aligns with President Trump's ends.

The Daily Beast used a lot of words to avoid saying Nazi salute.

Even if you have a house cat, this is serious.

Here we go. Certain generals must be removed before any martial law plan is put into action—as Trump and Hegseth are worried there may still be some generals out there who support the Constitution rather than his proposed dictatorship. This is a political purge intended as a precursor to far more.

Elon Musk’s DOGE operation has gained unprecedented access to Americans’ financial data—but what happens when that data is weaponized? History offers a chilling lesson. @j_vittori explores the risks in a guest essay on my Substack. Read here: www.avindman.com/p/how-is-dog...

Which cost taxpayers $??? hundreds of thousands in security, air travel, over-priced rooms for Secret Service and staff...

This is like opposing a joint resolution declaring that the Sun sets in the West America doesn’t just look like an idiot here, we look like goddamn Flat Earthers

Mark my words—He is going to try to shut down mail-in voting. When he does, we will sue and we will win. www.washingtonpost.com/business/202...

Maddow: All of this absolutely historically unprecedented. No president has ever come out of the gate with numbers like this ever before. And it is across the board

"...his business acumen..." 🤣 The guy's too stupid to keep his job.

I will use every tool at my disposal to protect this country from Trump. I will litigate to defend voting rights until there are no cases left to bring. I will speak out against authoritarianism until my last breath. I will not back down. I will not bow or scrape. I will never obey.

BREAKING: All seven of Elon Musk’s companies — X, xAI, Neuralink, Starlink, the Boring Company, Tesla and SpaceX —have netted a combined $20 billion in US government contracts and subsidies, according to the Financial Times. Does MAGA care to comment?

Psychopath got into Junior's good stuff...

Maybe I wasn’t clear about this. I wanted more egg and no plane crash, not many plane crash and no egg.

New from 404 Media: a Musk ally has demanded administrative access to Notify.gov, a system that lets the government text the public. The access would give them large swathes of the publics' personal data too. A worker has resigned in protest rather than give access www.404media.co/musk-ally-de...

“There are currently four people remaining over there to do the work of 15 people. The danger to the national airspace can’t be understated." "This is a very real threat to the American flying public.” EXCLUSIVE ⤵️

Is it fair to say that right now AOC is the leader of the Democratic Party? She seems to be like one of six people who doesn’t spend the day paralyzed by fear and pissing herself.

Senator Bill Cassidy, a physician who voted to confirm Robert Kennedy Jr., posted this today.

Criminals are running amok inside our government and nothing will be done about it because—oh, that’s right!—America voted for a convicted criminal to be in charge of all federal law enforcement See how that works

This is the way Block all government Tesla and SpaceX contracts

Farmers: “He was supposed to hurt other people, not us.”

When America reaps the whirlwind of putting Tulsi Gabbard in as the director of national intelligence, it will cost lives and honor beyond what you can imagine.

Ooopsie.
