Discovered the Yukon in 1985, never leaving. Historian, traveller, photographer, writer, wilderness hiker, naturist, dog lover - on some particularly fine days, all of those things. Photos are mine unless otherwise credited.

#TravelTheWorld - Honningsvag, Norway, photo by Arnstein Rønning. On July 25th, I'll be shooting my own photos of Honningsvag 🙂

In a world where everything is for sale, including the American presidency, Russia is amused by Agent Krasnov...

To finish off this day, a late-July sunset from the deck of my little Yukon cabin many years ago. Ahhhhh.... ❤️

Having watched as much of #Debate2025 as I could before my headache got too bad, and now having read hundreds of comments, most of which verify what I saw, Poilievre came across as his old-time slogan-boy liar self who couldn't give a proper answer to anything, and Carney was the clear winner.

I wish we were governed by actual furry dogs...

#Travel_Canada - as a photographer who usually shoots nature/wilderness, I find Vancouver to be an exciting place to shift perspective. There are 2,978 images in my "Vancouver" folder.

The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms was signed on this day (April 17th) in 1982. It contains a "notwithstanding clause" that has always been controversial, and no other western country has a similar clause in their human rights documents. The federal government has never used it.

I built Molly a tent out of a tshirt and a couple of coat hangars and she loved it! What fun 🙂 Directions for building one (takes about 10 minutes) can be found at www.youtube.com/watch?v=kPlr... #CatsOfBluesky

We fought fascism during two world wars, and we'll be fighting its spread on April 28th. Pierre Poilievre has been following Trump's playbook for at least 2 years and keeps making statements that prove he still is today. You don't need a gun this time, all you need to do is VOTE for Canada. #Never51

Among all the other shit going on, Long Covid is still disabling huge numbers of people. No, despite what governments want you to believe, it never went away - it only went away from being talked about.

Hey, it's #WaterfallWednesday! Several sources say that James Bruce Falls in British Columbia's Princess Louisa Inlet is the highest measured waterfall in North America and the 9th tallest in the world, at 840 meters (2,760 feet). explorenorthblog.com/boat-tour-to...

My beautiful Kayla was a registered wolf hybrid from a breeder in Florida. We had such a good life together in our little cabin. No running water, but lots of Adventures and lots of love ❤️

This is not a drill.

So many people are not paying attention. If you think it won't happen to you, you're simply in denial.
