On this episode of The United States is Not a First World Nation- I get a Medicaid denial regarding an eye exam my kid received at school, which I didn't ask for. This child doesn't use Medicaid & has other insurance w/their dad. What gets me is this exam happened over a year ago!

How is it more cost-effective for the government to require a Dr. appointment for a child covid vaccine? Does the visit itself not incur a bill for Medicaid or does the pediatrician receive & give the vaccine for free while the pharmacy doesn't? Confused 🤔
