Signal boosting this: June is pretty sparse for new releases, especially with the Steam Summer Sale in a few weeks. Keeping your demo up for the rest of month gives creators a chance to cover your games when there isn’t that much competition for our attention/time.

gamers etc etc c'te merde est à 70 balles sur steam en plus, ridicule

Good @olexayt.bsky.social video about "gambling roguelikes" (some are just aesthetics, other mechanics). It's not just recommendations, but also it highlights how even games that appear very similar can feel different www.youtube.com/watch?v=iybV...

Got some time today to check out steam next fest demos? I'd recommend... doing other things in your city perhaps ;) but if you get home and got some time (or are stuck at home like me) here's a few you might have missed that you could spend some time with!

This is great and I'm honestly not at all surprised it's coming from Jesse. I look forward to Noclip Crewcast every week bc they do a great job of covering a broader spectrum of games, and often talk about stuff that's a lot weirder than many other outlets would cover.

PEAK drops tomorrow 🗻 here's what you need to know about the game

Yo! It's #GamingNewsRecap Day! Xbox finally announced their Asus ROG Xbox Ally PC handheld, Sony laid off 30% of Bend Studios, Resident Evil Requiem got officially announced, Pragmata was re-revealed and Bloober is working on another Silent Hill Remake. [1/2] 6 pages:

Whenever there's news about an upcoming extraction shooter, reaction from a lot of press is "ugh that extraction shooter stuff again" and like...there's not that many, big ones or otherwise? It's a pretty niche genre and it *is* on the rise, sure, but stop acting like it's everywhere.

i've seen this happen so many times that I genuinly think it's just how things gotta go so ppl learn. Like, the energy of frustration that builds up on huge project then gets released in a kind of extremely productive burst when u finally scope down and then u kinda know this forever

One of the most interesting game dev podcasts recently! More on the technical side of things, but that's what makes it stand out.

Hot Streak is not only the lightest board game I've designed, it was probably the hardest design process... and I do think in general that those things are related.

this week on everyone's favorite UFO50 bookclub podcast, we've got a guest slate perhaps no one is adequately prepared for: @doseone.bsky.social and @dogubomb.bsky.social, joining forces to explore the weird-jumping, death-counting rebirth-platformer known as RAKSHASA: eggplant.show/ep-a-year-of...

Working with Noclip to highlight great games that deserve a chance in the spotlight has been a real honour. I'm excited to continue doing that as part of our new gaming outlet. Here's my first roundup, featuring 4 great games with under 100 reviews on Steam! www.youtube.com/watch?v=HW4B...

bluesky is the #1 app for introspection

In Edge 412, out today, we wander the wilds of Australia in Big Walk, the new project from Untitled Goose Game creator House House. Our 16-page hands-on cover story digs deep into its unique approach to multiplayer adventuring, delivering a game unlike anything we’ve seen before.

going live with my top Next Fest picks in a few minutes! youtu.be/A33vZ7rlxE0

going to make a thread of demos I've been playing through nextfest because I won't be able to cover anything as I'm busy with new project. starting with a hit, Baby Steps. Please try this game, it's actually wonderful. store.steampowered.com/app/2460140/...

There's this guy on Youtube called "8 Bit Paul" who has only like 900 subs, but does detailed animation analysis and explanation on popular scenes and it's absolutely great for everyone, so give it a watch and give the man a sub because he deserves more than that! www.youtube.com/watch?v=gGR8...

The kind of writing Getting Over It deserved imo, I'm glad Baby Steps gets a chance

In less than ten days, I will be running Thinky Puzzle Game Jam 5. In previous years this has been a lot of fun and a source of many excellent games. It's not too late to sign up! :-) itch.io/jam/thinky-p...

Trent's interviews are such a joy to listen to

That shit is honestly driving me insane. I've had a lot of issues with the occasional post I've read, but I now realised: I just can't imagine who this is for, and what purpose it serves. newsletter.hitpoints.co/320-sensory-...

The beautiful game (Puzzle Bobble) ✨️
