I can only hope that it will someday disappear from my memory 😪

Assuming you live in Europe, the Ithaka Press edition is cheaper because they're the UK distributor for the book. Tor is the American publisher for it, so their version would need to be imported from overseas.

I tuned out approximately 5 minutes into the film. I'm now finishing up reading Victorian Psycho by Virginia Feito instead, which is far more enjoyable.

I have yet to see any evidence of a plot, so I guess I'm not missing anything. It's just cursed CGI cats dancing around who will inevitably torment me in my nightmares for years to come. 😭

i mean, the cat in the photo is literally slitting its own chest open for some undefinable reason i was hoping for funny bad, but it's just genuinely awful. i do think edibles would likely improve the viewing experience though??

I'm generally a fan of body horror, but this film is taking it a step too far

That price is absolutely insane. It's ~$40 on Amazon! Still pricy, but much better than $230 lol

thank you! me too! ❤️✨️

I'm completely self-taught, but I'd say it's more tedious than difficult. It's time-consuming, but super fulfilling imo. mailleartisans.org is an excellent resource & you can also find tutorials on YouTube for most basic weaves. I highly recommend Chainmail Joe's beginner kit for starting out!

This looks really cool! Thanks for the recommendation! 😊

There are seemingly technical difficulties happening atm. Most of my feeds aren't available either.

I personally wasn't a big fan of Tender is the Flesh, but I decided to give this one a shot because the plot sounded right up my alley. I'm super glad I did because it exceeded all of my expectations & I absolutely loved it. 🖤

A fun way to make the universe decide for you: 1.) Write the names of the books on your TBR onto little slips of paper. 2.) Put slips into a cute lil jar/bowl/vessel of your choosing 3.) Mix 'em up!!! 4.) Draw a slip & whatever book is written on it is now your next read! 💙📚

That's one that's been on my TBR for absolute ages, but I unfortunately still haven't gotten to yet. I lack self-control and usually wind up buried under a mountain of ARCs that I have to prioritize. 😅

The Substance definitely lived up to the hype for me! I hope you love it 💕

It's set in the world of a traveling sideshow circus and is similar to Mount Char in the sense that it's also about a terribly messed-up family.

It's one of my absolute favorites! It's tied with Geek Love for my #1 spot.

It's one of my all-time favorites! He usually writes technical books on computer programming, but he branched out for Mount Char. I'm desperately hoping he eventually writes more fiction someday. 🤞

I am also a member of the hypermobile gang! I feel your pain 😭

Just followed you because clearly you have terrific taste! ♡

I desperately want Scott Hawkins to write more fiction. It's tied with Geek Love as my all-time favorite book!

I highly recommend The Library at Mount Char by Scott Hawkins!

This is a super tough call because I love all three for different reasons. That said, Midnight Mass probably just sliiiightly edges out the others for me. I grew up in a restrictively religious environment, so it just struck chords of genuine fear in me that the others didn't personally.

Wouldn’t be horror without @sgj.bsky.social and @tvayyyy.bsky.social 🖤

It was during the Matt Smith era! I'm unsure as to whether filming there is generally allowed though. For all I know, they might have just been granted special permission since DW is such a British institution.
