Thank you for saying this. I just watched CBS Evening News and there was NO mention of this news conference. Thank god NBC mentioned it at the top!

We saw Ray Davies at the Birchmere in Alexandria Virginia once. He had a band supporting him called the 88. The lead singer of that band passed out during one of Ray’s songs. Ray stopped singing and when he saw the guy was ok, he said “I’m supposed to be the one doing that!”
