Yet again I'm thinking that the most viable plan for bands to make money is to release tracks called "damp" "subsidence" "tiny kitchen" etc in the hope that Homes Under the Hammer will use them in their hilarious literal soundtrack

I need to work out how to transport an armchair to my house if I buy it on Facebook marketplace, and it's a real puzzle. I have an estate car, but even that isn't big enough.

The new Dominos ad with the driver appearing in the bath might be more terrifying than the old Bird's Eye ad with the anamatronic polar bear lurking in the freezer. I honestly thought there could never be a more terrifying advert, yet here we are. Might not sleep.

Hinge and Bracket

Please sign this folks if you agree with it(who wouldn’t? & why shoot them at all if they’re in decline.)

It was 26°C here in North Yorkshire yesterday. Los Angeles was cooler. Oof.

Good morning, Bluesky, under a bluesky. I'm going to try to find more people to follow on here. It's tricky when people have fun and funky bios, but their timeline is entirely shouty politics, often from a country they don't live in 🤔

Earlier this month, 300 residents of Chelsea, Michigan (pop. 5,300) helped a local bookstore move to a new location a block away: they formed a human chain and in two hours passed one by one all of its 9,000 books and put them on the new shelves in alphabetical order.

My calendar now has 4 sets of house guests staying with me in the space of 5 weeks, and on every one of those occasions, my husband is away. No help for the hostess! Yikes!

@catju.bsky.social hey thanks for the reply earlier. I had my hands full so I didn't reply before you deleted it. I've been lucky enough to find some help from Grandma so I can get to Dad's birthday, hurray.

Up, up, up the bloggers ✍️

Good morning world, and welcome to another week of "the travel demands of my husband's job constantly screw over all the tiny joys and breaks I might have got from my role as an #unpaidcarer but at least one of us is earning". Today's episode: will I have to leave my 96yo Dad alone on his birthday?

I had a strange dream last night about comic sans. There were "font revivalist" groups with drawing pins and printed notices.

Humbling myself with this one, but here goes: the long-gone pizza delivery place on Cold Bath Road used to do a pizza with spicy cajun chicken, cashew nuts and pineapple. All served up on a crust as good as Dominos. Sigh.
