The things fanzines did to sell themselves. Sheffield Wednesday fanzine A View From The East Bank included posters of players. 32 years on I discovered that the Paul Warhurst poster can't have been that popular as it's still inside perfectly intact.

It is 50 years since Derby were presented with the First Division championship trophy and Archie Gemmill was 28 when this photo was taken. Tough paper round etc.

As Britney Spears once said, "Oops I did it again" Late one night I appear to have purchased a fairly complete collection of an Aston Villa fanzine called The Holy Trinity. If my accountant is watching the 28 fanzines cost roughly 30p each (before shipping costs).

A new job lot of fanzines appeared today, a great day! Great non league efforts, match reviews, pull out games, terrible cartoons, history pieces, music links, the works. One explains its 2nd edition happened because the first was "less shit than expected" but most importantly there's a first issue.

The plans to expand Elland Road to 53,000 capacity..sort of, this cartoon appeared in The Square Ball issue 5 in 1992 celebrating the days that Leeds could host crowds of 50k+ Some great ideas, fish and chip suite, provision for cycling and there will be a tram stop outside the ground again soon.
