What an smug arrogant man

Very disturbing!

The dissident filmmaker's thriller is a stinging critique of oppression in his home country.

So many Liberal MPs and officials are actively backgrounding journalists, blaming some colleague or thing on the election result. I know they want to believe the problem is not them individually, but you can’t solve a problem until you admit it exists! Less backgrounding, more soul searching needed!

Israel is using starvation as a weapon - not just genocide and mass murder of civilians, but torture. It is evil beyond belief, and it is evil that the world isn't rising collectively to stop this country. www.theguardian.com/world/2025/m...

Hello Australia, I got a real juicy piece here for ya. Carbon offsets were created by capitalism, to protect polluted profits. What the hell does capital do when it loses its best ever greenwashing method? I got THEORIES ->> for @crikey.com.au www.crikey.com.au/2025/05/23/c...

Massive congratulations to @parentsforclimate.bsky.social for launching the legal action against EnergyAustralia and securing a landmark result: an apology for greenwashing and a commitment to direct emission reduction. Well done to Equity Generation Lawyers as well. Have a read:

Hi, Teddles. Women have always been in Australia, sweetheart. Not only ‘modern Australia’

When Hunt, O'Dwyer, Pyne & Dutton were celebrating the repeal of the carbon tax in 2014, the Liberal Party had 58 seats in the lower house, & the Coalition had a total of 90 Today, the party has 18 seats & the Coalition 43. ALP has 93 Without effective Climate Policy, the LNP is history. #auspol

I just listened to the first episode of the podcast series abt the origins, content and reception (backlash) of the pivotal 1972 report The Limits To Growth. OMFG. It is *essential* listening, and perfectly done. tippingpoint-podcast.com

Here's a figure from IPCC AR6 Summary for Policymakers showing the linear relationship between fucking around and finding out. Every tonne of CO₂ we add to the atmosphere makes things worse for us and all other living things.

I'm going to post this video every day so we never forget what the 34x convicted felon & adjudicated rapist Trump did.

I have zero idea why this passage seems phrased as some sort of gotcha. Scientists were suspicious about something, so they investigated and found that in fact their suspicions were unfounded. That's...exactly what they are supposed to do.

We came close — and we changed the game. This was never just about one result. We’re building a bold, honest, community-powered movement on the belief we can do politics differently in Forrest. The major parties can’t ignore the South West any longer. And that’s because of you.

OK, this is wild. In September 2023, geophysicists across the world started monitoring a very odd signal coming from the ground under them. It was picked up in the Arctic. And Antarctica. It was detected everywhere, every 90 seconds, as regular as a metronome, for *nine days*. What the HELL? 1/

Effectively a full repeal of the largest climate bill in history. There’s no strategy for America’s future. We all get sicker and pay more in energy bills and suffer climate disasters, while some rich folks pay less in taxes. That’s it. Disgraceful.

Now that both the PM and Leader of the Opposition are both former co-chairs of the Parliamentary Friends of Palestine we can definitely expect action on Gaza

there's a generation of young journalist in australia who see things way more clearly than their older counterparts, god i hope the industry makes *some* space for them

This is why we made tippingpoint-podcast.com and why my follow-up is on the capture of economics. Social Cost of Carbon is pseudoscience. As Dana Meadows told Nordhaus, it should never have passed peer review, let alone be used in policymaking. Orthodox economics has cost us the climate.
