The latest Atari Archive video delves into Berzerk, Atari’s final VCS arcade conversion of 1982 - but what a high note to wrap up on. youtu.be/E5cXL5fCdK8

Oh no, we let @youknowlydia.bsky.social cover another Elvis movie!? Why would we do that! This one is incest themed! It's got a foot song! That isn't even the worst part! I broke my exclamation point button. It's called Kissin Cousins. 1900hotdog.com/2025/01/fuck...

Arctic Shipwreck for the C64. The player controls a Woolly Mammoth, who uses its weight to tilt a chunk of ice different angles in order to prevent shipwreck survivors from sliding off or being eaten by a pterodactyl while waiting for a rescue ship.

DID YOU KNOW: that tomorrow is the final day for preorders of my upcoming book, The NES Era Vol. 3? A book that will be extremely good? limitedrungames.com/collections/...

The new book is still half off everywhere, as far as I can tell ($15 for the hardcover) bit.ly/boxofdoom

Remember the game Kiss: Psycho Circus? That FPS featuring the Kiss band running on the Lithtech Engine I've made a repack of the full game with fixes to run it on modern PCs, just install and it's ready to play, no extra tinkering required: mega.nz/file/KaZnnQJ...

@jparish.bsky.social I have now preordered all 3 excellent looking NES Era books @limitedrungames.com Will they combine in any way to form a map to lost gaming treasure?

@bradfhenderson.bsky.social Found this full page ad in a vintage Fangoria.

Did you have a good Chrismas? Well, you know who you should thank for that? The Bratz Babyz. They saved Christmas! Without them, you would have nothing. @youknowlydia.bsky.social bravely reports on the heroic exploits of these dead-eyed CGI Babyz. 1900hotdog.com/2024/12/upse...

They asked what the best prison sequence in a video game was and my friends, I had the answer

THE COLOR OF MONEY Ink dip pen on strathmore paper. 🎱 Available to own. 🎱

@brockway.bsky.social makes his triumphant return to the hallowed halls of 1900hotdog with a Teamworking day about Rob Liefeld's single panel comic, Shrink!. Can a man who can't draw feet manage to draw bad direct-to-camera acting? Yes. 1900hotdog.com/2024/12/team...

Please share my post. I publish on old games fanzines and am currently researching the history of moving arcade cabinets. Tell me about EXIDY's 'Rolling Star Fire (1979)' and 'Vertigo (1985)'.

limited-run-games.myshopify.com/products/the... Volume 3 of @jparish.bsky.social The NES Era is up for pre-order. Admire that spread of Hydlide juxtaposed with Mega Man 2, and imagine having to select a single screenshot to represent Mega Man 2.

Croonchy Stars (1988-1989) The Swedish Chef got his own cereal, with these sweet, cinnamon toast stars. The most memorable thing about this cereal were the absurdist, sometimes unsolvable games and puzzles on the back of the box.

There's a huge discount on the new book on Audible for Premium Plus subscribers, they have Black Box of Doom for under nine bucks (I think the price only shows for logged-in subscribers, they have discounts on everything). Ends Dec 8.

Preorders end tonight for the second volume of The NES Era, my oversized photo book detailing the chronology of U.S. game releases for ALL consoles in 1985, ’86, and ’87: NES, Master System, Atari 2600/5200/7800/XEGS, and Intellivision! limitedrungames.com/collections/...

Just pre-ordered limitedrungames.com/collections/... This weekend is your last chance. Grab it. From the always excellent @jparish.bsky.social

Working my way through the "First Console War" portion of Atari 50 expanded. Fantastic story with insight from those that were there. I had not thought of Dark Cavern since I was probably 8 years old. What a gift this software continues to be.
