Boosting in my own small way, please share to make sure any UK authors, illustrators, creatives in general are involved in this #booksky

New hobby: reporting all the reels about autism "remission" for false health information. So ableist and a load of absolute rubbish

Ok, so they whole starting the day again kind of worked. I took the dog for a run and we all ended up heading to IKEA for the evening

First official day of half term, we've already had extra screen time, kids whacking each other with wooden weapons, spilt orange juice thanks to the kitten. Sent everyone back to bed for 10 minutes and we're going to start again

On the other end of the reading spectrum, my 11yo has just finished his first Agatha Christie and LOVED it!

Looking forward to this! My 5yo absolutely loves these books. Such beautiful illustrations and the stories are super wholesome with just the right level of peril and adventure! 💙📚

Today I was very grown up and cleared the hallway shelf and tidied the shell collection on the bathroom window ledge. Tomorrow, we tackle the garage!

Her Majesty's Royal Coven. Quite liked it! I had no idea what to expect when I started it. A good solid story, some tense moments, twists and a nod to current gender conversations. Some of the dialogue was a little clunky? Cheesy? But I did enjoy the 90s nostalgia! 💙📚 #booksky

11yo has been invited to his mate's tomorrow and I asked what they'd be doing. "Important things". Turns out they've started a coven.

Panto today, penultimate performance again came through for comedy value. Captain Hook's fake leg on the outside of his horse came off and he had to finish the scene on his knees

I've become able to read more than one book at a time! A non fiction for daytime/commute and fiction for bedtime. This is my current set up:

Awake at 0645, out of bed 0715, present opening, turkey in oven, cheeky 15 minute nap, eat, walk with oldest's new scooter, Wallace and Gromit, kids' bedtime. Just time for a plate of nibbles before I pass out from exhaustion

About to watch the last #LowerDecks and I'm already an emotional mess

Whammed! Two years on the trot I've been out on the first day

Finally, finally got hold of daughter's Xmas present. Who knew that a wearable hooded blanket with a cute cat face on the hood would be so hard to find?

Guess I'm over here now! Will try to remember to post stuff since I got out of the habit after *gestures vaguely at everything*
