Having covered 10 animated movies for the 2025 season so far, it felt... Underwhelming to say the least. Still, can't wait for the March madness of Ne Zha 2, The Day the Earth Blew Up and Dog Man! #BlazikersAnimationAdventure

Gold Kingdom and Water Kingdom redeems a rather mediocre month of animated movies by being a well-written and great quality animated movie that nails the basics, despite the cheese and familiarity. #BlazikersAnimationAdventure

Time for my 10th animated movie of 2025! Next up, Gold Kingdom and Water Kingdom! #BlazikersAnimationAdventure #GoldKingdomAndWaterKingdom #AnimatedMovie

While my country Singapore does not have a strong animation industry, it is still thriving with upcoming animation works that I am looking forward to, including a certain co-production called The Violinist. Sign me up for this... variety.com/2023/film/as...

Ne Zha 2 on one week, and The Day the Earth Blew Up and Dog Man the week after. Needless to say, it is going to be a March madness of animated movies for me... Anyway, HYPE!

Hot takes, hot takes everywhere! Today, because I'm bored, it's time I spill the tea and explain 5 of my hot takes related to animated movies. Enjoy! Check out my latest essay here: blogofblaziker.com/in-blazikers... #InBlazikersOpinion

Tune in tonight Singapore time (tomorrow morning) on my essay about 5 animated movie hot takes that I have. See you on the Blog of Blaziker (link in profile bio)! #InBlazikersOpinion #BlogOfBlaziker

Rewatched Ne Zha, can't wait to see the sequel once the Singapore distributor announced its release date here. #LetterboxdFriday #LastFourWatched

Rewatched Ne Zha and if there's one thing I learnt from it: If not for it, Chinese animation wouldn't have honestly changed for the better. Anyway, can't wait to see Ne Zha 2! boxd.it/8UhL5J

Ne Zha 2 release date announcement for its Singapore release is tomorrow. Sign. Me. Up!!!

My family and I cancelled our Netflix subscription. We all agree that: - Netflix is becoming expensive, even for us - Netflix's content is mostly terrible brainrot - No password sharing and poor quality user experience ain't fun Honestly, after using it for so long, it's about time we move on...

Dog Man was initially releasing in April in Singapore, but its release date was pushed early to March. On the same week as The Day the Earth Blew Up and one week after Mickey 17. If that is not overkill, I don't know what is.

Masaaki Yuasa has a new animation studio? Let him cook! www.animationmagazine.net/2025/02/accl...

Yeah, like is this still a thing? I am still waiting for more news about True Tail...

Knowing Encore Films picked it up for release in Singapore... Bring it on!

To quote Hayao Miyazaki himself: "This is an insult to life itself." The more we tell the gen A/I bros to piss off, the better. I don't usually like to swear, but this is an exception given it's still going on. #AIArtIsNotRealArt #SayNoToAI

BBC cut 2 or the 3 jokes about Donald Trump by David Tennant at the BAFTAs First is in this clip, "A film about incredible architecture.. In fact it's the boldest architecture in film this year apart from Donald Trump's hair in The Apprentice"

Signs that the theatrical animated movies of 2025 are quite empty apart from Wallace and Gromit: Vengeance's Most Fowl... Still, I can't wait to cover The Day the Earth Blew Up in a few weeks!

Family-friendly foreign animated movies, especially the CG ones, can be a tough sell, but Fox and Hare Save the Forest managed to be way more engaging than the typical kind, and that is worthy of being seen. #BlazikersAnimationAdventure

Got officially blessed by Conclave and Anora. #LetterboxdFriday #LastFourWatched

If you see this, post something IN FIRE 🔥

Animation is cinema (sarcasm). www.animationmagazine.net/2025/02/toon...

While most foreign family-friendly animated movies are not great, there are a few exceptions where they ended up becoming way better than expected. I suspect Jumbo, this Indonesian animated movie releasing next month, could be another exception... www.youtube.com/watch?v=6sbU...

Limited cinema release of "Nezha 2" tomorrow in US, Canada, Australia & New Zealand. English trailer: www.youtube.com/watch?v=nsXQ... Theater map: tinyurl.com/5bc66wbm Current box office in China: US$ 1.3 billion.

TURN HIS TV OFF

I shouldn't be surprised given how much Disney is allergic to LGBTQ+ content and removing them from Disney's recent content despite protests against it from Disney creators and animators (especially regarding removing it's trans storyline for Win or Lose), but even so... Sigh...

Viva Kids/Viva Pictures are really doing this with collaborating with a UK distributor to bring whatever movies they are distributing to the UK. NGL, it might actually work for Viva Kids/Viva Pictures... www.animationmagazine.net/2025/02/viva...

Modern day Robin.

This took embarrassingly long to make. Please use freely.

KENDRICK JUST NOW

Messy movie I love: (My Dino Time shoutout shows I cannot be trusted when it comes to recommending animated movies, especially since I covered way more family-friendly foreign CG animated movies than most animation reviewers)

Despite my gripes on most foreign CG animated movies being family friendly fodder, Flow's Annie Awards haul show not all foreign CG animated movies need to be this way, although it felt like a "once in a blue moon" situation. Let's hope Flow becomes the norm, not the exception.
