I’m a centrist, so frequently disagree with AOC on policy, but she is apparently *much* better at reading the room than most of her Democratic colleagues.

Killing off our research facilities and talent pipelines is perhaps the biggest, dumbest self-own in American history.

@kylec.bsky.social I appreciated the report on the cut program to fund locally grown produce for schools and food assistance, but why didn’t you all talk to any local farmers about it? Seems like that would have offered valuable perspective.

I couldn't be happier that the Canadians are taking a stand for their freedom, their sovereignty and their way of life. But it is sad and shameful that we in the US have, for absolutely no reason, created a situation in which there is so much enmity toward us from our neighbors.

Having zero credibility is going to be a major problem for the U.S.

My warmest greetings go out to the wonderful people who built their careers sniffing out “Ukrainian Nazis” under every stone in Ukraine for tasty headlines that fueled Russian war propaganda on this-is-why-Ukraine-must-be-dealt-with, only to get Nazi salutes normalized in their own country.

If you wanted to cut waste, fraud, and abuse, you would empower the inspectors general. If you wanted more waste, fraud, and abuse, you would fire them.

If Joe Biden misspelled the name of a country in a press release announcing sanctions against said country, Lou Dobbs would rise from the dead to join Sean Hannity’s around the clock special coverage

Mike Johnson and the GOP are anti-family, and are trying to deny me and many other Coloradans representation in congress.

This is totally on brand, but also entirely abnormal, deeply troubling and totally adverse to national security. Loyalty to Constitution and country should be the only loyalties that matter for national security jobs.

This is a perfect example of Republicans’ “election integrity” efforts. Which is to say what they want is to override the will of the voters, the opposite of integrity. It’s anti-democratic and anti-American, but that’s how Republicans roll these days.

As usual, @marionicolais.bsky.social nails it. “He did not always win, but he never used that as an excuse to give up in frustration or give in to anger. Instead, he used it as a springboard to do more good in the world. That is a lesson we could all stand to learn.”

Why the fuck are we talking about making Canada a 51st state, while Puerto Rico and Washington DC are RIGHT THERE WAITING????

So much this!

The devil is always in the details, but at least on the surface this seems like a great idea, and I really hope it takes off.

Apparently Trump has been whining that “Biden is doing everything possible to make the TRANSITION [sic] as difficult as possible.” Apex hypocrisy is the defining characteristic of MAGA.

This is your brain on drugs
