Got in a Master System Model 2 that had an external encoder circuit installed. The intent was to generate composite, but dadly it didn't work and RGB was undervolted. Removed the mod, installed the missing C56-C58, removed the RGB jumpers, and pulled Composite and RGB from the CXA1645.

Am I surprised? No. But I will say that the likelihood of these cartridges destroying your NES is low. If anything, flash carts with mismatched voltages tend to be the first thing to die with regular use. Still, paying $60+ for something that will become a brick is just shitty.
