He was born in the South Sea Isles. Plainsfolk from Limsa look pretty much exactly like him and his family and he lacks a strong accent so it's not super easy to tell. He really dove headfirst into trying to be Eorzean. He does have nostalgia towards the isles and mentions them from time to time.

It's the same as in canon pretty much. Biggest thing I change is that the "scenes" are viewed from the first person perspective to really drive home the "you are living this as the other person and know exactly what they thought and felt" aspect. The NPC Echoes are just as strong and work the same.

There's no customization, only different formulas for each race and you otherwise keep your general appearence. They're incredibly expensive and the effects are temporary: about a year. Wealthy couples use it to allow themselves to concieve a child togather when they otherwise wouldn't be able.

Yoshio is lawful good. He's had his moments in the other good alignments but has needed his friends to coax him there, and realize that sometimes he needs to be willing to rock the boat, and yes, be disliked by the people who need to dislike him if he's to actually help the people who need him most
