Half term week. Getting up at 8:40 is not as good as getting up at 9:30 but so much better than getting up at 5 like every normal Tuesday. Only one guitar lesson (on Zoom) this evening. Try not to read the news today, it only makes me sad and sort of despondent. Oh, the sun is shining!

At one of my schools, w pupil doing a grade 6 electric guitar (Trinity Rock). His programme so far: 'Samba Pa'Ti', 'With A Little Help F My Friends' in the Joe Cocker version, Hendrix's 'The Wind Cries Mary' -very classic rock. Playing these better than I can, already; we're on a good path here.

Zoom may be (as most corps are) evil and often awkward, but it has saved my bacon many times since the lock-downs. Just now, pupil ill with some infection but wanted her lesson and we can still do it. Of course it hasn't got to be Zoom, could be FaceTime or Teams or (heavens forbid) Google Meet.
