Us South Walians know _exactly_ what this is!

BORE DA CYMRU!! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Just love this habitat: what in Welsh we call ‘ffridd’, involving scattered trees, scrub, bracken, gorse, grassland and perhaps most importantly, grazing animals (at the right density). Usually in the transition zone between lowland and upland. Some gorgeous gnarled Hawthorns in Nant Peris today 🌳🌿👌🏽

2/5 of Labour MSs are planning to step down. So far.

Wasn’t expecting this in a little historic church we popped into. 👀 😂

And now there are 12 councils in Wales that have passed a motion supporting the devolution of the Crown Estate. Just ten more to go! If you live in a local authority that hasn't voted on the motion yet - please get in touch with your councillor and ask them where they stand.

A splash of vivid colour on the forest floor: so nice to see the Scarlet elfcups out! (Cwpan robin goch in Cymraeg 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿). Lovely seeing the bright green shoots of Bluebells emerging from the rotting leaves, and Dogs mercury too! 🌿 #gwanwyn

Slava Ukraini. ✊🇺🇦

It's #MHNursesDay 🧠 Here is one of the earliest photographs of the nurses at Glamorgan County Lunatic Asylum in 1887. These nurses were among the first mental health nurses in South Wales. #Wales #histmed

Back in 2002 Wales initiated its own refugee doctors training scheme. Since then we have helped to train over 370 medics. Just now, the largest country of origin by far is Ukraine. I’ve thought a lot about them and their community over the past few days. We need to just now.

🚨 The so-called 'partnership in power' between the Welsh and UK Labour Governments is a sham! 🚨 Today’s budget proves that #Labour does not match #PlaidCymru’s ambition for #Wales ❌ Wales deserves better – and Plaid Cymru is ready to deliver 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Wales on Wednesday: exits and entrances Will there be more than a handful of experienced Labour MSs on the ballots in 2026? And will Welsh Conservatives have concluded their leadership battle by then? ✍️ @ethanjonesic.bsky.social bylines.cymru/politics-and...

Budgets, block grants, & the Barnett Formula – Welsh devolution embeds austerity If Cymru’s a ship then Westminster’s a tug boat, pulling the nation towards shoals and rough seas. Can we ever take the wheel and steer away from austerity? ✍️ @neilschofield.bsky.social bylines.cymru/politics-and...

Well done Wrexham, come on Bridgend!

This is happening, right now. The great "arribada" (arrival) of mother Olive Ridley sea turtles on the Odisha coast, where they dig sand-nests & lay their eggs, driven by ancient instinct. Heart-lifting, magnificent, moving: part of a geography of hope. 🎞️ by Bivash Pandav via my friend Yuvan Aves.

A view across the well hidden 'hillfort' on the rocky ridge of Pared-y-Cefn-Hir, above the twin lakes of Cregennen. Brilliant views down to Afon Mawddach and the peak of Cader Idris. #Wales #HillFortsWednesday More... 1/2

The talks are going well I see....

Wales will have the highest levels of child poverty in 4 years. @plaidcymru.bsky.social says we need radical action right now. Mae angen dechrau newydd ar Gymru.

To clarify, there have been no negotiations with Plaid Cymru on the budget despite what’s outlined here. Cross-party scrutiny committees have expressed many concerns about the budget and it doesn’t meet Plaid Cymru’s ambition for Wales.

Protecting the steel industry in Wales is critical! Recently I visited @tatacompanies.bsky.social in Shotton with @rhunapiorwerth.bsky.social and Luke Fletcher The plant in Flintshire is a vital piece in the company's operations, and is a major employer in the area.

Ask your MP to sign Plaid Cymru’s amendment and support our efforts on Monday 24 February to give Wales power over its natural resources. Let’s ensure that the people of Wales benefit from the wealth created in our communities, not the UK Treasury. 👇👇👇
