I don't think I will ever get used to unexpectedly seeing my book in the wild. #kidlit #picturebooks #autism #AAC

If our systems weren't so tied to privilege and wealth as sources of power, perhaps we wouldn't be so "business as usual" after a major healthcare CEO is killed. People aren't heartless—they lacked the care and access these CEOs had, watching loved ones suffer and die from preventable conditions.

Traditional publishing is pouring my lifeblood into my writing, convincing a pub to publish it, not why the world needs this book, & then having one person tell me, "we're gonna pass." I have to constantly tell myself that my work is good enough. I literally have to will myself to keep going.

Someone called my son a "Forever Boy." In her eyes, he would only grow in height, but not mind. She gave him a title, a fate she saw fit to name aloud. My son will always be my baby, but I will not hold him small. Mind ya tongue. Dont get cussed out. Remain safe. www.facebook.com/share/p/UKiz...

My son, the one who would rather be known by name first, has taught me so much about myself and autism, is incredibly creative. He draws, he paints, he sculpts(sp?), takes amazing photos, and so much more. I'm so very blessed to be his first fan.

Spawn patty #1 is 17. Nonspeaking autistic learning to type to communicate. It's a process. One hell of a journey. Many ups. Lots of downs. Don't know what we doing, we just doing it together. I bought some Naan, forgot I had it, asked him what he wanted to eat, he typed "n@@n". That works, kid.

Is Paramount+ on here yet? We need to talk. What is the "plus" for? More connection issues? Additional streaming challenges? Just give me the regular one without the plus then, so I can make it through one episode of Equalizer without having to do 3 reboots and 6 mmmbops. TFuuuuuuuhhhhh
