“Professional Crocodile” Author #GiovannaZoboli. Illustrated #MariachiaraDiGiorgio. Wonderful wordless picturebook full of detail and humour. Completely rewards careful looking with a perfectly constructed visual journey and a delightful twist. One of my absolute favourites #PicturebookPage

The incredibly fun Grumpfort by Jamie Hammond. original, quirky and wonderfully entertaining! Perfect for lower key stage 2 featuring an unassuming monster hunter on a rip roaring quest! tomsbookcorner.wordpress.com/2025/04/19/g...

Behold the nebula goddess—her wings woven from stardust and twilight's hues, a celestial ode in scarlet, sapphire, and indigo.

If it's helpful, even though you're (probably) on holidays, I am resharing the very long blog I wrote about how we teach Whole Class Reading at our school. We have really fluent children who love reading and I've tried to break it down as much as possible. mrboothy6.wordpress.com/2025/01/03/w...

I am often asked how to get boys into reading. I honestly don't think boys are different to anyone else. If you want them to love reading - JUST LET THEM READ THINGS THEY LOVE! Whatever those things might be, they are the things that make us all into readers. #literacy (Art: Bill Watterson)

Having read the article in @theguardian.com today talking about increased book censorship I recommend we all read this book by @alangratz.bsky.social to our year 6. It’s a great book about rebellion. The banned books mentioned became must reads in our Year 6 class. Best way to get kids reading ;-)

What a moving story about a young girl trying to help her family amid the crisis of civil war ‘Oranges in No Man’s Land’ by Elizabeth Laird. Looking forward to using this as our next English unit 🍊

A wonderful afternoon spent with super people. @andrewcowley23.bsky.social 's new book is a vital read. @mforlearning.bsky.social did a great job at hosting the event and inspired everyone to put Andrew's ideas into action.

Why I still LOVE teaching 💙💚💛

I’ve avoided entering the education space of social media thus far but after a great day at #rEDBrum I’m taking the plunge!

Love this 👌🏼

Quick repost about our bedtime library, its made a huge difference to how our youngest children see books and reading. There is a link to a list of fab books at the end. smithsmm.wordpress.com/2020/01/11/t...
