New #rstats pkg gander is now on CRAN! gander is a coding assistant that knows how describe the objects in your global R environment. So, when you're working with data, LLMs will know the names, types, and distributions of data columns, resulting in much more effective completions.

Pleased to see this paper just published. We explore the need for personalised research methods (including #Nof1 methods) in psychology. Traditional methods often fall short because they assume what works for the ‘average’ person works for everyone -rarely true! journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/...

1/3 Tutorial on exploring ecological momentary assessment data is online at AMPPS, with: - Accessible ways to visualize data for better understanding - Models to get some first insights - Further reading boxes for more advanced topics - Reproducible pipeline you can run over your own data

You there! Would you like to learn how to make very pretty graphs in #rstats? I'm delivering a short introduction to data viz in R on 15th April. Online, free (I think), and no prior knowledge or experience of R required. #AcademicSky www.apa.org/education-ca...

Do #detox and diet #cleanses work? We discuss this #nutritionsciencebites + the body's detoxification processes, misconceptions, potential risks and how detox promises may not align with what the science says! @nmnteatwell.bsky.social Listen on Apple shorturl.at/hlaC9 or Spotify shorturl.at/cESOK

Hot off the press! 📣📣In this tutorial we illustrate available multiple imputation approaches for handling longitudinal data including when they are clustered within higher level clusters. A reproducible example with R and Stata code provided! #OpenAccess onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/...

Bluesky’s science takeover: 70% of Nature poll respondents use platform Roughly 6,000 readers answered the poll, with many declaring that Bluesky was nicer, kinder and less antagonistic to science than X 👏 www.nature.com/articles/d41...

The second day of the Workshop on Multilevel Models of the #asp is starting! Yesterday, we learned about linear models and the importance of centering. Today, we will explore fixed and random effects, along with ICC, BIC, and AIC. Excited for the day and grateful for participants' engagement! #R 🧪

totally worth a read! "Short list of common sins in published clinical trials includes misinterpreted p-values, automated model selection, use of change scores, “table 1 tests” and subsequent covariate adjustment based on them, over-interpreting subgroup differences, and needless categorization."

Hey educators, tidyplots.org is great for teaching students data visualization because it is 🕊️ Free and open-source 🚀 Easy, intuitive and fast 💾 Loaded with demo datasets 🏆 Embracing best practices 🌈 Beautiful #rstats #phd #dataviz #education

Looking back at a great conference @isbnpa.bsky.social in Uppsala, 14–17 June 2023 @fiejanis.bsky.social I really miss those fun activity breaks💃🏼

Since I’m new here, let me introduce myself. I moved to Ann Arbor over the summer to chase new possibilities. This account is mostly professional with a side of personal.

Attention #JITAI lovers! Our systematic review including 45 JITAI studies with physiological outcomes is finally online dx.doi.org/10.2196/54119 We summarized the evidence, and extracted BCTs, decision points, decision rules, and intervention options. #MobileHealth #digitalhealth 🧪

Hey #StatsSky, what are you favorite papers to cite when you need to justify something that is obvious (I once had a reviewer ask we justify the use of logistic regression on a binary outcome) or when you need to push-back on silly reviewer requests (e.g., asking for p-values in table 1)?

Possibly useful little #Rstats trick: edit(names(iris)) will create a popup with the R code for the character vector containing the column names of your data frame that you can copy and paste, e.g. c("Sepal.Length", "Sepal.Width", "Petal.Length", "Petal.Width", "Species")

So happy, relieved and proud to share the last #HPGVienna preprint of the year: We reviewed 87 publications and found that mHealth intervention uptake is lower among older and low socio-economic status populations ➡️ digital health disparities ⚠️ Read the preprint: osf.io/preprints/os... #HealthPsych

Friendly reminder: The holidays are around the corner, and January always seems to fly by! Don’t forget to submit your abstracts for #SAA2025 before the January 31st deadline ⏰ Submit here: saa2025.com/Submit Looking forward to seeing you there!

Could we all agree to put the study design in the title? Thanks - an anonymous tiab screener. 🧪

I drew these for the #datafam holiday card exchange, but figured I'd share them for others to use too! Put them on your cards, gift tags, or anywhere that needs a little more #dataviz 📊

Can you spot the possible error in this forest plot of a #meta-analysis? 🧪 #AcademicSky

I’ve just logged into this for the first time and found it really helpful and easy to use. Definitely worth a look if you want to find out where your research has been cited in policy documents. It’s free to use - just links to your ORCID. #AcademicSky

Emotional states during full-text screening for systematic reviews: Until 20ish studies are included you are happy for each additional inclusion 😀 20-50 studies included you start to get nervous 😬 50+ studies: "make it stooooppppp" 😱 🧪 #AcademicSky

If you missed my talk but still want to learn how to make your R code more reproducible, my slides are here 🙂: daxkellie.quarto.pub/will-your-co... All the links to packages and resources I mentioned are there, so hopefully this can be a nice reference, too! #ESAus2024 #rstats #quartopub 🧪🌏

Scientists, academics, researchers: We’re excited to share that @altmetric.com is now tracking mentions of your research on Bluesky! 🧪
