I, with zero background in Chemistry, just passed my first exam with an A. This is a shout-out to the best study group, I am so thankful for y'all and I couldn't have done it without you 🖤

From reddit: a letter from a postdoc who survived the Bolsonaro years. This is helpful framing for how to science in this administration. 🧪 www.reddit.com/r/labrats/s/...

When I made the decision to switch to my current major, it was done with the knowledge that many of the credits I earned beforehand wouldn't apply to my new program. This also created a situation in which I am operating a course load of almost 200% so my prerequisites stack appropriately before fall

Maybe it’s anxiety Maybe it’s too much coffee Doubtful it’s Maybelline, but at this point I’ll keep my options open

Make an effort to donate to your local little free pantry, mutual aid organization, and/or food bank today.

I especially like to make sure this box is checked when contacting my Congressman (congress.gov) to ask what they are doing to stand against executive overreach that is illegally depriving their constituents of federal funds.

It is within your rights as an American to be annoying to the people that represent you. Actually, I think more people should be annoying. Loudly! And in funny and interesting ways. Be creative✨

I knew all this was going to happen. But nothing can really prepare you for what it feels like when the moment actually arrives. This is why we need each other and our communities. I plan to turn to them a lot in the coming years.

Good morning #booksky Just a friendly reminder that Audible, owned by Amazon/Bezos, supports the tech giant. Libro.fm offers an alternative, letting you buy audiobooks while supporting independent bookstores. Choose where your dollars go and align your listening with your values.

A huge portion of the world right now is feeling like the scientist getting ignored in every disaster movie. This is a climate change tweet

In disentangling myself from Meta, it's crazy to see how often I reach for an app I've now uninstalled. One of my goals for 2025 (I don't do resolutions) is to be more mindful of where I direct my time and energy. Bluesky's Science feed has been a fantastic learning zone as a Biology Major!

1. Did you know that Girl Scouts has, for a long time, accepted trans girls and nonbinary scouts? Trans kids are under attack. Every year, I make a thread of trans and nonbinary girl scouts you can get your cookies from. Lets get our cookies from them this year in solidarity!

The modern duel: kids riding their bikes toward each other with a foam noodle in one hand to see who can knock off the party hat on top of the other’s helmet first. Chivalry is not dead. (I’m at the farmers market)

This photo was taken in Nara, Japan in April 2023. It was my first time out of the country, and I was so excited to visit the shrines within the documentaries I watched growing up. I learned to stretch outside my comfort zone and carrying that forward into tackling new projects has been incredible.

The way I feel learning how to use an iPad (my first apple product since my 5th gen iPod Nano)
