remember how i told you yesterday that i've talked with people who are volcanically angry? boy, do i have a story for you coming on monday.

Melissa Harris-Perry. Tiffany Cross. Alex Wagner. Joy Reid. I'm sure there's a pattern here but I can't quite put my finger on what it could be. (/s)

the biggest determinative factor for succesful labor actions throughout us history hasn’t been whether strikers are willing to deploy violence but whether they have a friendly to neutral(ish) gov

It may not be cool or hip in some circles, but we legitimately do need a massive amount of people to run for office. Flood the school boards, councils, county seats, state legislatures, Congress, etc. Big changes at the top happen when the ground shifts at the bottom. And that can start now.

On the one side, I do not love being a Jew in a country now ruled by explicit Nazis. On the other hand, this is all amazing ad footage for the Dems in 2026.

If any of our former NATO or Five Eyes allies have intelligence data and assessments, which surely they must, about the background of the leader of their new strategic adversary, the United States, now is as good a time as any to release them, subject to protection of methods and sources, of course.

I genuinely do not understand how a subset of posters seem to be convinced that David Lynch—someone that was a libertarian turned an openly democratic voter, cast himself as an FBI agent in his own show, and ran a charity for Ukrainian veterans—was a communist.

man it's so rich to be told that leftists "warned libs about this" when the entire past year was libs screaming about how dangerous it was going to be to reelect trump and leftists replying "yeah i don't care"

GENDERRRRRRR

It is time for Portland to consider a temporary moratorium on SDCs. The city isn't currently receiving any significant SDC revenue, but if waiving SDCs would make a few marginal projects viable the city would at least get the future property tax revenue.

the hollywood standard for men going from like “modestly fit [well known actor in his late thirties]” to “a body fat percentage that puts you on the verge of death” is probably bad and underpins a lot of rw subcultures i think

The demand for revenge against Republicans is going to be very strong and I think it is very necessary and it is also very important that it be done wisely, which is by no means a synonym for gently.

"it is a party's job to earn your vote" rather than "participating in the government of a republic is a citizen's duty" is just decadence.

Yeah I think if a Dem Tea Party happens it's not gonna be about ideology, it'll be about temperament

Medicaid is not for sale. NASA is not for sale. The Post Office is not for sale. America is not for sale. We have an obligation to resist kings. We outnumber them. And they can be overwhelmed.

Resistlibs have been 100% correct about literally everything

worth mentioning again that senate democrats’ plan for strategic confirmation votes in exchange for blocking the worst nominees was a complete failure

Stealing the infrastructure we paid for. They're treating blue states and cities like we're conquered territory to be plundered.

The Pyramids. Another shot from Tabor, the playground equipment up there is pretty rad. Wood and moss is pretty cool, just fyi. 📷: Pentax MX. f1.7 50mm 🎞️: Ilford HP5 400 #filmphotography #analogphotography #photography #believeinfilm

I hope the EU is ready to throw more weight behind Ukraine and in defense of global democracy, because I’m sad to say the United States under Trump is an enemy of both.

it's absolutely wild to shitpost about yourself being a king of a country whose entire foundational story of itself is centered on overthrowing the last person who deigned to call himself king on these shores

Democratic leaders: I think it's abundantly clear at this point that simply going along to get along ain't gonna work. Trying to negotiate ain't gonna work. Being collegial ain't gonna work. What you're doing right now isn't working. Take your gloves off and punch back. Hard.

“I am a king and my will is law” isn’t a clever distraction from what he’s doing, it’s the central underlying justification for everything he’s doing.

many of those who work forces are the very same as the ones that burn crosses

Trail Photography Another shot from Mt. Tabor, which is really nice & you should check it out! It's right off @trimet.org route 14! It's like street photography except there's no street, it's a park. 📷: Pentax MX, f1.7 50mm 🎞️: Ilford HP5 400 #filmphotography #analogphotography #BelieveinFilm

“As I would not be a slave, so I would not be a master. This expresses my idea of democracy. Whatever differs from this, to the extent of the difference, is no democracy.” — Lincoln

came up with two variants too

trying to explain that Drukhari would only wear clothes for decoration and protection and do not have judeo christian values because they are space aliens
