Remembering Roger Delgado who was born on this day March 1st 1918. Roger was the first (and arguably) the best actor to play The Master in Doctor Who. He made his first appearance in the Season 8 story “Terror of the Autons” in 1971.

44 years ago today (the 28th of February 1981) Janet Fielding made her debut in Doctor Who as the Doctors new companion Tegan Jovanka in Part One of "Logopolis".

I’m not a huge fan of medical dramas but I loved House starring the amazing Hugh Laurie. Superbly written. One of the best written tv dramas of all time.

Absolutely stunned and saddened to learn that Michelle Trachtenberg, Dawn from 'Buffy the Vamipie Slayer', has died, aged 39. :( :( One of my all time favourite tv programmes.

Another old piccy and back to June 1989 - meeting Colin Baker at Nottingham Theatre Royal. Colin was appearing as The Doctor in the stage production; The Ultimate Adventure. On the tour I interviewed Colin, Rebecca Thornhill and David Banks. I still have the recordings on cassette tape!

Meeting Nick Courtney (The Brigadier) from Doctor Who at a Watchers event at Sheffield Hallam University. Im not sure exactly on the date, but it was around the mid 90’s.

Remembering Stan Laurel (16 June 1890 - 23 February 1965) who passed away 60 years ago today. He appeared in over 100 films with his comedy partner Oliver Hardy. Arthur Stanley Jefferson was born in his grandparents' house on 16th June of 1890 in Argyle Street, Ulverston, Lancashire.

41 years ago today, the 23rd of February 1983, Nicola Bryant made her debut as the new companion Perpugilliam Brown - Peri, in episode one of the four part story; “Planet of Fire”. Pictured below with Peter Davison giving a touch of James Bond in a publicity still promoting Nicola’s debut story.

I’m not really a fan of New Who, however I loved Eccleston as The Doctor. And I thought Rose worked best with Eccleston’s Doctor. So pleased to hear they’re both coming back to do a series of Doctor Who audio dramas for Big Finish. The Doctor and Rose are back!

Just been to the gym because they've got a new machine in. Only used it for half an hour as I started to feel sick. It's great, though. It does everything - KitKats, Mars bars, Snickers, Crisps, the lot.

8 years ago today (10th February 2017) Sigrid released her debut single "Don't Kill My Vibe" which today has amassed 90 million streams on Spotify and has become an anthem for fans. The music has already been used in several TV series, movies and even in a documentary about feminism.

55 years ago today “The Plastic Eaters”, the first episode of ‘Doomwatch’ was broadcast on this day (9th February 1970). Created by Kit Pedler and Gerry Davis (who wrote this opening installment) the series ran for a total of 38 episodes (including one untransmitted ep - 'Sex and Violence').

8th of February 1978 - Making its debut 47 years ago today, the very first episode of ‘Grange Hill’ a series devised by Phil Redmond.

Remembering Nick Gascoigne. 05/06/1970 - 08/02/2013. I can’t believe that 12 years have passed. I first met Nick back in 2010 & I’ll always be very grateful for his friendship and the support he gave to me during some difficult times. Greatiy missed. My thoughts to all his family & friends. x

532 episodes watched and counting - “Brookside”. Devised by Phil Redmond and with writers like Jimmy McGovern looking back 40 odd years later it’s still one of the best U.K. soaps ever written.
