After a 14-15km loop hike to our local taking in a couple of local small peaks, we're now sat on the balcony with a beer. There are only a couple of small patches of snow left in the back garden 😥, but can't be too sad it's been here since before Christmas.

Cannot believe that this Dunkel Hefe-Weissbier eluded me throughout the 4 years we lived near Freising. It's not particularly hard to find but it's a very good example from a very good brewery.

A really nice addition to the Freising beer scene, Sammamera Freising. It's run by Isar Kindl brewery but they have beers from Weihenstephan, Giesinger, Hopperbräu, Schneider Weisse, Tillman's, Unertl & TUM Forschungbraueri. I'm on Schneider Weisse Tap 5, Loz Hopperbräu Vogelwuid, love 😍 it.

It was -7c yesterday, -11c and back to brutally cold this morning. You'll be unsurprised to know that despite only light snow in recent weeks there is still a covering of snow in the back garden.
