I agree with a lot of people in New Orleans that everyone out playing in the snow is a super magical thing and it's nice to so many people taking a break and having fun. But every time I see the beautiful pictures I feel sad and like there's this looming threat.

Today has just been an influx of alerts from the city of new orleans slowly shutting itself down before a single flake has fallen. First they shut down all public transport, then the ferries and port, now they're blocking off and closing all the freeways.
