I'm a strong believer that zero tolerance should be a 2 way thing.(Mental) health professional behaving badly towards a patient, as much as vice versa. Anything less than that is dishonest and unhelpful.

Short bursts of false bravado, punctuating longer stretches of 'Will I ever be good enough?' is how the bullying related trauma affects me. It's there despite the fact that the schizophrenia/schizoaffective is managed well(according to my care co).

#disability #spoons confession time. I've never understood the 'spoons' thing. As in how do you know precisely how many you have, and how many you've used up. I just know that I have a variable disability. That I can't predict in advance what the next day will be like.

It's not always easy, but I believe in being as open as possible about how mental illness affects me, and my experiences as a patient. I'm acutely aware that I don’t have the communicative skill set that many others have in doing so.
