Readers have rated my book THE NVIDIA WAY higher than many all-time business classics.

Why can’t American studios write dialogue and narratives as good as Kingdom Come Deliverance II? Warhorse is based in the Czech Republic, and English isn’t the native language. Yet the game’s writing outshines nearly every other U.S. game.

Bad news last two days: Walmart guide. University of Michigan consumer confidence (+inflation expectations), January home sales, Stevie Cohen bearish

We must cut spending or the country will go bankrupt from the massive budget deficit and rising national debt, politicians say. OK but why are the same politicians trying to pass a deficit busting $4.5 trillion tax cut then? It makes no sense.

Prudent deregulation and thoughtful spending cuts would have likely strengthened the economy, rather than policy chaos and uncertainty that erodes the confidence required for long-term capital investment-essential for growth. But alas, seems unlikely.

Jensen has made his first extensive public comments on DeepSeek.

Five years ago, I was the only media person pounding the table about how PlayStation 5 would crush Xbox this generation. Most of the pundits fell in love with the Game Pass strategy. Welp. "We observe that PlayStation hardware market share relative to Xbox is at the highest it's been in 12 years"

Super Nintendo

8% of $850 billion is $68 billion "Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has ordered senior leaders at the Pentagon and throughout the U.S. military to develop plans for cutting 8 percent from the defense budget in each of the next five years" www.washingtonpost.com/national-sec...

Frank Pepe Margarita pizza is my favorite. It gets the coveted 5 out of 5 yum yums.

Wegmans not price gouging on eggs 💪

Nvidia PC gamers are not going to happy about 5070 Ti pricing. Some cards are going for over $1,000

“This administration will ensure that American AI technology continues to be the gold standard worldwide and we are the partner of choice for others foreign countries and certainly businesses” - @JDVance $NVDA

All praise Mr. Pink. He is wise. "Initial reports that the [DeepSeek] app was built on open-source data on antiquated chips by moonlighting hedge fund quants were subsequently debunked .. we believe the initial reaction seems to have been overdone."

If we want more stuff manufactured domestically by American companies already struggling to compete with China because of structural higher cost structures like labor, maybe we shouldn’t dramatically increase the price of raw materials to make stuff? Just a thought

Did anyone else receive an extremely high electric bill for January? Rising costs for basic necessities are a big reason why Trump got elected. Many people are struggling to afford everyday expenses. The Fed’s QE policies did not help.

Nvidia GB200 NVL72 requires a forklift to move off a tractor trailer. The days of GPU on a card for best AI performance are over. Multi million dollar data center scale AI server racks with 72 GPUs weighing 1.5 tons are here.

$105 billion in capex guide for Amazon 2025. Nvidia wins again. DeepSeek capex bears lose again. Amazon says AI is the biggest opportunity since internet

It seems like the “all you need to run an AI model is a Raspberry Pi thesis” is unraveling

The whining about Google's capex spending makes no sense. As I repeatedly detailed in my book, tech giants get disrupted when they prioritize short-term financial returns over aggressive investment in big technology shifts. It led to the downfall of Intel, many others.

"One person said the subject of DeepSeek came up and that [Jensen] Huang told the president that the public was overreacting." - Wall Street Journal

Things are getting serious. Even Trump coin is tanking

Thank you @natolambert for mentioning my book THE NVIDIA WAY on @lexfridman podcast

Trump got elected because Americans suffered/grew worried about inflation including groceries, energy and cars. Trump's 25% tariffs on Canada-Mexico will directly lead to much higher grocery prices (fruits and vegetables), energy (Canada) and cars (auto parts/mfg. supply chain).

My book is beating Cher at the main Hudson booksellers stand in Grand Central 😝

Nvidia's statement on the Jensen Huang's meeting with Trump at the White House today: “We appreciated the opportunity to meet with President Trump and discuss semiconductors and AI policy. Jensen and the president discussed the importance of strengthening U.S. technology and AI leadership.”

Wow. DeepSeek really is just like ChatGPT and Claude

The funniest irony is primary reason Masa has the financial wherewithal to invest in Stargate/OpenAI, funding these massive GPU clusters, is global regulators blocked his deal to sell Arm to Nvidia on the cheap. Otherwise, the upside ($100 billion+) would have accrued to Nvidia.

Setting aside government policy uncertainty (yes, it’s a major caveat), this month's fundamental developments are enormously bullish for the AI data center buildout theme in the back half of 2025.

tbh, everyone should be doing this

I won’t be content until I can run a full Claude 3 Opus level model locally on a reasonably priced gaming GPU or smartphone

When Apple was briefly considering Intel to make its iPhone chips for a month, Morris Chang visited Apple and met with Tim Cook. Cook told Chang don’t worry about it: “Intel just does not know how to be a foundry.” Source: Acquired youtu.be/FZItbr4ZJnc?...

Mark Zuckerberg lays down the gauntlet. "Our goal for Llama 4 is to lead," says it will be multi-modal and agentic. Vows to invest "hundreds of billions of dollars" in AI infrastructure over the long term (people were expecting him to back pedal, huh?)

Barnes and Noble is running a temporary “final days” 50% off sale for my book THE NVIDIA WAY. Amazing deal. It probably will not be this cheap later. Amazon is matching the price. Go and buy it!

Nvidia's Blackwell page literally talks about 30X inference speedup versus prior generation GPU when using Mixture of Experts AI model and lower floating point precision approach (both of which DeepSeek uses).

Maybe you shouldn't tax the products of your leading AI chip and computer companies with an additional 100% tariff and force them to use 2nd rate tech domestic chip factories before they are ready when you want to win the absolutely critical global AI race during the next four years. Just a thought.

Nvidia's full statement today on DeepSeek

The probability U.S. AI leaders will reduce AI infra build for training because of a distilled copycat DeepSeek model is negligible. Inference compute supply is a legitimate question in the short term but developers will fill the void. My DeepSeek take is live www.barrons.com/articles/dee...

Coffee prices on Monday? WSJ: “The U.S. imported $16.1 billion in goods from Colombia in 2023 .. Crude oil accounted for roughly a third of that dollar value. Other top commodities the U.S. receives from Colombia include gold, coffee, bananas and fresh-cut roses.”

DeepSeek answered my question well by searching the internet for information

It’s an efficient distilled model, but the development $ numbers people are internalizing here are silly. They aren’t considering prior research and development work, which is obviously considerable and highly likely to include the use of current AI frontier models.

Oops, I did it again

I wonder how long the 20% off deal for $200 worth of Uber/UberEats gift cards per every Costco visit deal will last

Only Nintendo can charge $60 for a copy paste re-sell of an ancient game and get away with it. It’s ridiculous

My wife just yelled at me: LUA! LUA! 🤣

Ex-costs for research, ex-costs for iterative testing of different designs, algorithms, architectures and data. It seems like EBITDA hypothetical accounting. But everyone running around still saying they did it for $5.6 million. The internet never lets the facts get in the way of a good story
