The DoD has never passed an audit and no doubt its spending should be reviewed. But Sec Hegseth knows little about how DoD works, and less about national security. It would be a good idea to bring in some expertise rather than just throwing the axes.  www.cnn.com/2025/02/21/p...

Clinical trials for the most serious diseases halted. Research grants ended. 1,500 NIH workers fired. All probationary employees fired- these were the brightest, fully trained & vetted, most talented next generation of public servants - fired. This is not ending “waste, fraud or abuse”’
